Indications for ultrasound examination of a newborn: Suspected presence of anomalies: Abdominal organs. Head.
In January 2007, the French Ministry of Health recognized FibroTest as a real alternative to liver biopsy. This served as a reason for the simultaneous introduction of these tests in a number of countries.

Neurosonography is a section of ultrasound diagnostics that deals with the study of the brain in newborn children. It is currently an integral part of traditional examination in neonatology and perinatal neurology, without which no examination by a pediatric neurologist and/or neonatologist is complete.

The emergence of new high-frequency matrix and wide-band sensors, new technologies for processing ultrasound signals (tissue harmonics, compound scanning) has provided ultrasound with priority in the study of peripheral nerves. It is customary to correlate the course of a nerve with its projection onto the skin.
A nephrostomy is a medical procedure in which a hole is created in the kidney and a special catheter (nephrostomy catheter) is placed through the hole to allow urine to drain from the kidney to an external reservoir or collection device.
Indications for ultrasound examination of the neck: Palpable formation in the neck area. Pathology of the carotid arteries (rough noise, symptoms of insufficiency). In this case, a Doppler study is necessary to establish an accurate diagnosis.
The lymph nodes of the neck are located superficially, and therefore they can be visualized using a high-frequency (5-10 MHz) linear sensor. The availability of the lymph nodes of the neck for detailed examination expands the range of diagnostically significant criteria compared to ultrasound examination of the lymph nodes of the abdominal cavity.
Nasogastric intubation (intestinal) is used for gastric decompression. Nasogastric intubation is used to treat gastric atony, dynamic or obstructive intestinal obstruction; remove toxic substances; collect gastric contents for analysis (volume, acidity, blood) and administer nutrients.
