Advertising policy

The iLive project receives funding from advertising, sponsored content and other partnerships such as affiliate programs. The reality is that funding from our advertisers allows us to provide a better service. At the same time, we are absolutely steadfast in our editorial autonomy. Apart from information on various subject areas, we never allow sponsors to influence the content we create.

We place advertisements on web2health.com, iLiveOK.com, including subdomains and mobile versions of these sites (we refer to these sites collectively as “iLive”, “iLive Sites” or “Sites”) from third parties (“Advertisers”), which may include third-party banners, icons, contextual advertising and content created or provided by the advertiser (collectively, “Advertisement”). In addition, as used in this policy, the term “Advertisement” includes third-party banners, modules, links, microsites, native advertisements and other content provided by or on behalf of advertisers. The Advertiser is responsible for the content of the Advertisement, its truthfulness and objectivity.

The primary issues governed by this policy are the placement of Advertisements on the iLive Sites, the display of Advertisements on the iLive Sites, and the removal of Advertisements from the iLive Sites. iLive has sole discretion in interpreting and enforcing this policy and all other matters relating to Advertisements on the iLive Sites. iLive may change this policy at any time in its sole discretion by posting a revised policy.

ILive has sole discretion to determine the types of Advertisements that will be placed and displayed on the iLive Sites, and the display of any Advertisement on the iLive Sites shall under no circumstances be construed as an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) being advertised or of the company that advertises, manufactures, distributes or promotes the products or services.

ILive will not knowingly permit Advertisements that, in ILive's sole discretion, are not truthful and fair.

There are certain categories of Advertising that iLive will never knowingly allow on the iLive Sites. These categories include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Illegal, “undesirable”, “ineffective” and/or “dangerous” products (iLive reserves the right to determine what is “undesirable”, “ineffective” and/or “dangerous”)
  • fraudulent, false, illegal, misleading or offensive material
  • material that degrades, ridicules, discriminates (overtly or covertly) or harasses an individual or group of people based on age, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or any other characteristic considered unacceptable by iLive sites
  • alcohol
  • weapons, including firearms, ammunition or explosives
  • gambling
  • pornography
  • use of tobacco of any kind
  • false (fake) news or emergency reports
  • misleading, improbable or supernatural descriptions of products or services
  • multimedia messages or images that "pop up" or "pop out"
  • videos or messages that convey exaggerated and unsubstantiated claims, such as "miraculous" healing or weight loss
  • advertising blocks that simulate any computer or software functionality that requires a user action (click)

ILive maintains a clear separation between Advertising and iLive editorial content. All Advertising on iLive sites will be clearly and unambiguously identified. iLive does not permit Advertising on iLive sites that is not identified by the words “Advertisement,” “From Our Advertiser,” “Company News,” or a similar designation indicating that the Advertising is provided by or on behalf of the advertiser.

By clicking on an Advertisement, the user may be redirected to the advertiser's website or to the corresponding advertising page on iLive websites.

ILive reserves the sole right to determine which search results for a particular keyword or topic are displayed on iLive sites. Content listed in search results is displayed with its source. If an Advertisement appears in a search result, it is labeled as such.

ILive reserves the right to decide at any time, in its sole discretion, whether to accept, reject, stop, or remove Advertisements from the iLive Sites. iLive makes no representation that Advertisements will function without error on all platforms, including websites and mobile applications.

Advertiser is responsible for compliance with all local and foreign laws and regulations applicable to its Advertisement on the iLive Sites (including all legally binding requirements, notices and statements in such Advertisement). iLive does not monitor Advertiser's compliance with such laws and regulations. However, iLive reserves the right to review all Advertisements for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and if iLive becomes aware of any, including potential, violation of any applicable law or regulation or this policy, iLive may remove the Advertisement from the iLive Sites.

You may not include in Advertisements on the iLive Sites any pixels, tags, flash containers or any other type of information-gathering code (collectively, such pixel, tag, code or device, a “Pixel”) or place any beacons, cookies or other information-gathering methods on the browsers of users of the iLive Sites unless expressly approved in writing by iLive. iLive may allow the inclusion of a Pixel in an advertisement subject to a number of conditions, such as, (i) Advertiser may not use such Pixel to collect any personally identifiable information about any iLive user, (ii) such Pixel may not be flash or object-based, (iii) the Pixel may be blocked and any cookie may be deleted through the user's browser settings, (iv) Advertiser will not link any information it collects to any personally identifiable information it may have from any other source, and (v) Advertiser will not update an existing profile or create any profile in its database based on any data collected on an iLive website, including the fact that someone is an iLive user or any information derived from information in a referring URL.
