Diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue (dermatology)

Syringoma

Syringoma (syn.: multiple syringoadenoma, eruptive hidradenoma) is a developmental defect of the eccrine sweat gland, similar in its structure to the ductal section in the upper part of the dermis.

Eccrine acrospiroma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Eccrine acrospiroma (syn.: nodular hidradenoma, clear cell hidradenoma, syringoepithelioma, solid-cystic hidradenoma, clear cell eccrine adenoma) is usually a solitary intradermal, exophytic or mixed node with a diameter of 0.5-2 cm or more, hemispherical in shape, dense elastic consistency, on a wide base, covered with unchanged skin, sometimes ulcerating.

Eccrine spiradenoma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Eccrine spiradenoma is a rather rare tumor that most often occurs in middle-aged and young people - up to 40 years old (72%), in children up to 10 years old (10.8%), in approximately equal proportions in men and women.

Eccrine poroma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

The term "eccrine poroma" was first proposed by H. Pinkus et al. (1956) to denote a benign tumor histogenetically associated with the intraepidermal portion of the sweat gland duct, the so-called acrosyringium.

Sweat gland cysts: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

The clinical picture of hydrocysts of any origin is quite similar, there are only histological differences. Clinically, they are small, with a bluish tint and a shiny surface, cystic elements that occur mainly on the face. Cysts of the apocrine type, mostly solitary, rarely multiple.

Malignant syringoma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Malignant syringoma (syn.: sclerosing carcinoma of the sweat gland duct, syringomatous carcinoma, microcystic adnexal carcinoma, syringoid eccrine carcinoma, eccrine epithelioma, basal cell epithelioma with eccrine differentiation, eccrine carcinoma with syringomatous structures, eccrine basalioma, etc.).

Malignant eccrine poroma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Malignant eccrine poroma (syn.: porocarcinoma, epidermotropic eccrine carcinoma, eccrine porocarcinoma) is a very rare tumor that usually occurs against the background of a long-existing eccrine poroma or de novo on unchanged skin.

Adenocystic sweat gland cancer (syringocarcinoma): causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Adenocystic sweat gland cancer (syn: syringocarcinoma, hydrocarcinoma) is a very rare low-grade malignancy tumor (primary sweat gland cancer), occurring mainly in old age, usually on the skin of the face, scalp, less often the trunk, abdominal wall.

Mucinous carcinoma: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Mucinous carcinoma (syn. mucinous eccrine carcinoma) is a rare, low-grade primary carcinoma of sweat glands. It occurs twice as often in men.

Sebaceous gland cancer: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Cancer of the sebaceous glands is extremely rare, mainly on the scalp and face. Clinically, it is a small, ulcerating, locally destructive, often metastasizing tumor.
