Obstetrical forceps surgery

The operation of applying forceps is of great importance in obstetrics. Domestic obstetricians have done a great deal to develop and improve this operation, in particular, indications for it and the definition of conditions for its implementation have been developed in detail, their own types of instruments have been created, and the immediate and remote outcomes of the operation for the mother and child have been studied.

Artificial abortion

The vagina is exposed using speculums. The anterior lip of the cervix is grasped with bullet forceps. Probing is performed to determine the size of the cervix and body of the uterus and to obtain an idea of the direction of the uterine axis.

Uterine surgeries

Cervical surgeries

To perform any operation, the cervix is exposed in mirrors. The vagina and cervix are treated with iodonate and ethyl alcohol, the cervix is taken with bullet forceps and lowered to the area of the entrance to the vagina. Long mirrors are replaced with short wide ones, since they do not allow the cervix to be lowered freely enough.
