Calcium facial cleansing is one of the most effective ways to remove the outer layer of skin these days. The action of certain types of acids causes the skin to regenerate – stimulating the skin’s basic functions.

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the advantages of using this procedure:

  • Can be used frequently;
  • It is a rather gentle remedy;
  • It is executed quite quickly;
  • Does not cause pain;
  • The recovery period does not take much time;
  • Does not pose a health hazard.

The disadvantages are the following:

  • If there is damage to the skin, tissue necrosis may develop;
  • After the procedure, the skin tightens and turns red;
  • Not suitable for use by people with sensitive skin.

Indications for the procedure

This procedure should be performed by people with oily skin, in case of clogged or contaminated pores, as well as when oily shine appears. Facial cleansing allows you to remove post-acne and acne, skin creases and small wrinkles. In addition, the procedure will help if the skin has begun to lose elasticity, has become dull, if there are scars or cicatrices on it.

Preparation

It is very important to test your skin for an allergic reaction to the substance before the procedure. In this case, you will need to apply it to your elbow (the back of it) and wait for some time. If there is no redness on the skin, then the solution is suitable for your skin type and can be used.

To perform the procedure, you need to take soft soap (the most suitable is baby soap), 1 ampoule of calcium chloride (5-10%), and cotton swabs. Before starting the session, you need to remove all makeup from your skin, wash your face and dry it.

Technique calcium facials

Using a cotton swab, apply the calcium solution to the skin, let it dry, and then apply the product again. This procedure should be repeated 3-4 times. Avoid treating the skin around the lips and eyes, as it is more sensitive there, and in addition, this way you prevent the solution from getting into the eyes.

Next, you need to whip up the soap foam and, using a cotton swab, apply it to the skin over the layer of solution already there. After this, you should carefully remove the mixture consisting of insoluble calcium salts and the removed keratinized skin layer, which turns into pellets, from the skin along the massage lines. If necessary, the foam treatment can be repeated.

After cleaning your face, you need to wash it with warm water and then rinse it with chamomile infusion. This is necessary because due to the combination of mechanical particles of organic salts, microcracks may appear on the skin, and treatment with a disinfectant will prevent inflammation and speed up the healing process of damaged tissues.

At the end of the procedure, you need to apply a moisturizer to the skin.

The chamomile infusion must be prepared in advance: pour 1 pinch of flowers into 0.5 liters of boiling water and leave for 20-30 minutes.

If you have an allergy to herbal infusions, you can use mineral water instead of chamomile for rinsing.

Also, during the procedure, the following conditions should be observed: do not leave the solution on the face for a long time, because this can cause the development of hyperpigmentation of the skin; in addition, it is recommended to peel before going to bed so that the reddened and tight skin has time to recover overnight.

Care after the procedure

Calcium facial cleansing removes a layer of dead skin cells. But you need to understand that this layer protects the skin from negative external influences, as well as from pathogens getting into the deep layers of the skin, which leads to the development of skin diseases - therefore, after cleansing, the skin becomes more vulnerable.

To prevent negative consequences, you need to use moisturizers that can maintain lipid balance and have anti-inflammatory properties. You need to choose creams that contain substances with an anti-allergic effect (for example, essential oil).
