Scientists from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), having conducted a study, came to the conclusion that many fried foods can be made less dangerous for heart health if you use olive or sunflower oil. The researchers did not find an increased risk of heart disease and premature death in people who cook meat and other foods in this way.

But you shouldn't cook food in other types of oil and lard. That's why standard deep-fried dishes continue to be on the "black list".

During the study, experts examined 40,757 people, finding out their diet and checking their current health. None of the study participants showed signs of heart disease or high cholesterol. Scientists monitored the health of the subjects for 11 years.

By the end of the study, 1,134 deaths and 606 cases of heart disease had been recorded.

A detailed examination of the data found no link between heart disease and fried foods in people who cooked with olive or sunflower oil.
