6 symptoms you can't ignore
Last reviewed: 01.07.2025

If something is wrong, the body immediately sends a signal in the form of pain, thus warning about the danger to health. Sometimes there is pain that a person can explain and take measures to eliminate it. However, it also happens that pain comes suddenly and, it would seem, out of nowhere. In this case, it is important not to ignore the symptoms, but to immediately seek help from a specialist.
We invite you to familiarize yourself with important signs and symptoms, knowledge of which will help you respond more quickly to the body's signals and protect your health.
Severe headache
Severe headaches are unfortunately not uncommon. Sometimes they can occur as a result of overexertion, stress or fatigue. However, if the headache becomes a regular occurrence or is accompanied by numbness in the back of the head, fever, confusion, blurred vision, weakness or tinnitus, this may indicate inflammation of the blood vessels, a brain tumor, meningitis or cerebral hemorrhage. Pills will not help here; you should immediately consult a doctor.
Acute toothache
It can occur due to damage to the enamel and, as a result, damage to the nerve. Bacteria will harass the exposed nerve until you fill the tooth, so it is better not to delay going to the dentist, otherwise the infection can get into the blood and spread throughout the body. The longer you put off a visit to the dentist, the more likely it is that you will lose a tooth.

Sharp pain in the side
Acute pain in the side combined with high fever and nausea may indicate appendicitis. In this case, you should call an ambulance immediately, otherwise the appendix filled with pus may burst, and its contents may spill into the abdominal cavity. For women, acute pain in the side may also pose a danger of a different nature. Such symptoms may be caused by an ovarian cyst. They may resolve on their own, but if it ruptures or moves, it can cause terribly unpleasant sensations.
Chest pain
Usually people treat chest pain rather carelessly, simply do not pay attention and do not even think about visiting a specialist. However, if you feel that constant chest pain is accompanied by shortness of breath and pain in the upper body, then you should immediately consult a doctor.

Back pain with tingling toes
Back pain may be associated with physical activity, but if it does not go away and medications do not help, then perhaps one of the spinal discs has pinched a nerve and you need the help of a specialist. Actions without consulting a doctor can cause serious harm to your health.
Pain in the legs
If you feel that your calf has become red and there is pain when you press on it, then you may have deep vein thrombosis. You cannot relieve the pain symptoms on your own by massaging or doing wraps. You risk sending the thrombus on a journey through the veins, where it can reach the lungs and cause respiratory arrest.
