Treatment of sarcoma is a complex of methods aimed at providing a comprehensive therapeutic effect.
Until recently, surgical treatment was considered the only effective method of treating sarcoma. However, today there are many other methods that allow you to cure sarcoma of any location and at any stage of development. Let's look at the main methods used in the treatment of sarcoma.
Surgical treatment of sarcoma
The technique involves surgical removal of the neoplasm. Depending on the size of the tumor and its location, abdominal surgery, resection or laparoscopy may be performed. So, if the sarcoma is in the brain, doctors perform a craniotomy to remove the sarcoma. If the sarcoma has affected the intestines, oncologists perform abdominal surgery, removing the affected organ and adjacent tissues that may also be affected.
Sarcoma removal
Sarcoma removal is a surgical method of treating a malignant neoplasm. There are several types of sarcoma removal, which depend on the localization of the neoplasm.
Local removal of sarcoma
It is used if the surgeon is 100% sure that there are no metastases. After such treatment, chemotherapy and radiation are used. The recurrence rate of sarcoma after local removal is 90%.
Wide excision of the tumor
The surgeon excises not only the sarcoma, but also adjacent tissues located at a distance of 3-5 cm from the tumor. Relapses after such removal of a malignant neoplasm occur in 30-50% of cases.

Radical resection
It is the removal of sarcoma within the anatomical area. Such treatment is compared to amputation. After such treatment, prosthetics, implantation, plastic surgery and resection are used. Postoperative defects are eliminated using autodermoplasty. Relapses of the disease occur in 20% of cases.
Amputation
It is a total removal of the affected limb or organ and surrounding tissues. Relapses occur in 5-10% of cases.

Chemotherapy for sarcoma
Chemotherapy for sarcoma is one of the most important stages in the treatment of oncological diseases. As a rule, chemotherapy is used after surgical treatment. Treatment with drugs allows you to prevent metastasis and completely destroy cancer cells. In some cases, chemotherapy can be carried out before surgery, which allows you to reduce the volume of sarcoma.
This method is a treatment with drugs. Chemotherapy is very effective in osteosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing's sarcoma. Very often, oncologists combine radiation therapy and chemotherapy to achieve a better therapeutic effect. The only drawback of this method is that the drugs affect the entire body, causing many complications and terrible side effects.
Many patients who are prescribed chemotherapy are scared by possible side effects (hair loss, vomiting, nausea, development of leukopenia). But it is necessary to understand that the price of side effects is life and health. In some cases, side effects can be reduced or even avoided. For this, the treatment regimen for the use of chemotherapy drugs should be drawn up by an experienced oncologist. The effectiveness of sarcoma chemotherapy depends on reliable information about the nature of malignant cells.
Targeted therapy
This type of treatment is a targeted chemotherapy. The drugs administered affect only the affected cancer cells. This is a fairly effective method, as it allows healthy cells to be left untouched.
Radiation therapy
This method of treating sarcoma is used 4-6 weeks after surgery and involves a treatment course of 2-3 months. Radiation therapy is a beam of proton energy that acts on the tumor site, destroying cancer cells and preventing metastasis.
Treatment of sarcoma in Israel
Sarcoma treatment in Israel is a popular practice of getting rid of oncological diseases and malignant neoplasms. Israel is a country with high technologies and many years of successful practice of cancer treatment. Let's consider the main advantages of sarcoma treatment in Israel.
- Surgical treatment of sarcoma is carried out using gentle techniques. Thanks to this, it is possible to preserve the affected organ and restore its functions. Microsurgery is especially popular, with the help of which it is possible to transplant muscle tissue, restore the function of affected organs and ensure an aesthetic appearance of the operated part of the body.
- Use of modern radiotherapy techniques. This method significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment of any type of sarcoma. The course of radiotherapy can take from 2 to 3 months. Treatment is carried out both before and after surgery.
- Targeted treatment methods. The therapy allows drugs to be used directly at the source of the lesion and effectively eliminate it. Targeted therapy is much more effective than chemotherapy and does not leave behind any devastating side effects, which is also very important.
Success in treating malignant tumors in Israel is a guarantee of life and health, as well as hope for modern oncology. Israeli clinics accept not only their own citizens for treatment, but also patients from other countries, providing treatment at the highest level.

Traditional treatment of sarcoma
Traditional treatment of sarcoma is a method of traditional medicine that has evolved over many centuries. Traditional treatment of malignant neoplasms has nothing in common with generally accepted medical practice and proven treatment methods. Traditional medicine recipes are based on the medicinal properties of herbs. Let's look at several traditional treatment recipes for sarcoma.
- Aloe can be used to make a medicinal tincture that will have a healing effect on the entire body. So, take 5-6 large aloe leaves and put them in the refrigerator for a day. After that, the plant must be cut into small pieces and pour 500 ml of alcohol or vodka. The tincture should stand for 14-20 days in a dark, cool place, and every day the jar with the tincture must be shaken. Take the tincture one spoon before each meal, but not more than three times a day.
- Propolis tincture also has healing properties, and according to folk medicine, can help cure sarcoma. For the tincture, you will need 100 g of crushed propolis and 300 ml of vodka. Pour vodka over the plant, close the lid and shake for an hour. After that, the tincture is sent to a dark place for a week, shaking the jar daily. After a week, the tincture must be filtered and taken 10-15 drops, diluted in a glass of water, three times a day.
- Take 20-50 g of birch buds and pour 100-150 ml of vodka over them. The tincture is infused for 15-20 days, shaking it every day. Once the medicinal tincture has infused, it must be filtered. The tincture is applied to gauze and placed on the area of the body affected by sarcoma 2-3 times a day.
- Prepare 15-20 g of oak bark and 1000 ml of vodka. Pour vodka over the bark and put on the fire. Boil for 30-40 minutes, gradually adding 4 spoons of honey. After this, the decoction should be filtered and used as a means for wetting bandages. Bandages should be applied to the affected area of the body, that is, to the approximate location of the sarcoma.
- Collect a bunch of fresh plantain leaves, wash them well and squeeze out the juice. You can drink the juice, or you can moisten it and apply it to bandages, applying it to the area affected by the malignant tumor.
Nutrition for sarcoma
Nutrition plays an important role in sarcoma. Since proper balanced nutrition helps to reduce the painful symptoms of a malignant tumor and strengthen the immune system. Patients diagnosed with sarcoma should drink fractionally, 5-6 times a day, to maintain normal functioning of the body.

For sarcoma, it is recommended to consume:
- Pork, beef and chicken liver, butter and dairy products, vegetables and fruits – these products contain a lot of vitamin A, which is an antioxidant and accelerates the process of cell regeneration.
- Nuts and cereals, pasta, pork - these products enrich the body with B vitamins, which increase resistance to infections and normalize the functioning of all organs and systems.
- Rose hips, black currants, viburnum, as well as sweet peppers, kiwi, broccoli, citrus fruits and spinach are rich in vitamin C. The vitamin takes part in the formation of connective tissue, removes toxins and poisons from the body.
Harmful and contraindicated products:
- Flour, sweet and high-calorie dishes should be prohibited. This is explained by the fact that food rich in carbohydrates increases the risk of cancer.
- People who eat fried and fatty foods are at risk of developing sarcoma.
- Abuse of salty, spicy and hot foods is one of the causes of gastric sarcoma.
Treatment of sarcoma depends on the size of the tumor, the degree of damage, the presence of metastases, the stage of sarcoma and the general condition of the body. All this, in combination with treatment methods, allows us to make a prognosis regarding the survival of the patient after sarcoma.
