It is a syrup that includes plant extracts. This drug contains an extremely large number of plant components. Indications Syrup "Linkas" cough syrup for children

According to its properties, Linkas is a syrup that has a brown color and a specific smell. The drug is prescribed as a means of having a symptomatic effect on the body, that is, it eliminates the symptoms of the disease. It is quite convenient to include this remedy in the composition of complex therapy. It is used to treat purulent-septic, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract. It is especially recommended to prescribe this remedy to people who have a dry cough that does not go away for a long time, and it is difficult to remove sputum. Indications for use are diseases such as acute respiratory infections, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and flu.

According to its pharmacological properties, the drug is characterized as a complex drug of the Ayurvedic direction. The main action is aimed at providing expectorant and anti-inflammatory action. It also significantly increases the intensity and productivity of cough, as a result of which sputum is more actively removed from the walls and is more easily removed from the respiratory tract, which helps to relieve the inflammatory process and prevent the progression of the infectious process.

Dosing and administration

From the age of 6 months, the drug can already be given in small quantities, starting with half a teaspoon at a time. Children aged 6 months to three years are still given half a teaspoon, starting from three years, the dosage can be increased to 1 teaspoon per day. A teaspoon is given up to 8 years of age, and starting from 8 years to adulthood, the dosage increases to a teaspoon per dose. The frequency of administration is up to 3-4 times a day.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to various components of the drug, as well as individual intolerance to the drug. Increased allergization of the body can also serve as a contraindication. It is not recommended for children under 6 months.

Side effects are rare. If they occur, they are mostly in the form of an allergic reaction. The immediate reaction is considered dangerous, which manifests itself as Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock. Less dangerous is the delayed hypersensitivity reaction, which manifests itself as a skin rash, urticaria, irritation, redness, dermatitis.

Interactions with other drugs

The drug is not recommended to be combined with antitussives, as well as with drugs that prevent the formation of sputum. If the child has a carbohydrate metabolism disorder and is on a hypocaloric diet, the syrup should be taken with caution, since it contains 70% sucrose.
