The magnitude of spontaneous blast transformation of lymphocytes in adults is normally up to 10%.

Spontaneous blast transformation of lymphocytes is the ability of lymphocytes to transform without stimulation. The study is performed to assess the functional activity of T-lymphocytes.

Diseases and conditions in which spontaneous blast transformation of lymphocytes is altered

Increase in the indicator

  • Hyperactivity of the immune system in allergic and autoimmune diseases
  • Activation of anti-transplant immunity
  • Donor Organ Rejection Crisis
  • Acute period of primary infection
  • Immune response to thymus-dependent antigens

Decrease in the indicator

  • Oncological diseases
  • Secondary immunodeficiency states
