Patients with rubella isolate at home for 5 days from the moment of rash. Disinfection and separation of contact children is not carried out. Rubella prevention is a vaccination in Russia since 1997. Vaccination against rubella is carried out at the age of 12 months and 6 years. A single injection of the vaccine results in the formation of immunity in 95% of the vaccinated. Vaccination is also subject to girls 13 years old who did not have rubella, in the absence of data on vaccination. It is recommended to vaccinate women of the fetal age not vaccinated in childhood who did not have rubella and who have low concentrations of antibodies against rubella. Not reaching the protective level. Vaccination against rubella is contraindicated in pregnant women. After vaccination, women need to be protected from pregnancy within 3 months. Vaccination against rubella is carried out by live attenuated monovaccines and combined vaccines. In Ukraine, the following vaccines are certified for rubella prevention:
- Rudivax (France);
- rubella live attenuated vaccine (India);
- Rubella live attenuated vaccine (Croatia);
- rubella vaccine culture live attenuated (Russia);
- vaccine for the prevention of measles, rubella and mumps (M-MR II, Netherlands);
- vaccine for the prevention of measles, rubella and mumps (Prioriks, Belgium);
- vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella live attenuated lphophilized (India).
For the prevention of congenital rubella, women who have rubella or who have had contact with rubella (if there is no history of rubella vaccination or rubella), it is recommended that the pregnancy be terminated.
