Immunoglobulin G is the main component of the γ-globulin fraction of blood serum. They make up the bulk of all Ig (80%), are the most important effectors of humoral immunity. A variety of antibodies against bacteria, their toxins, viruses and other antigens belong to the Mugliglobulin G. They are contained not only in the vascular bed, but also easily enter the extravascular space where the protective function is performed due to toxin neutralizing, virus neutralizing, opsonizing and bactericidal activity. Antibodies of this class are the main protective factor in the child of the first weeks of life (penetrate through the placental barrier into the fetal blood). The half-life is 21-24 days. Activate complement on the classical path.
