Butter is a fairly popular product on our table. We add it to our favorite dishes and baked goods, considering it a regular food product. And sometimes we don’t even think about what healing properties this natural product, criticized by nutritionists, may have.

As we know, with a disease such as angina, warm drinks are especially relevant. Drinking a lot of liquid helps to keep the temperature down and has a diaphoretic effect, which helps to remove harmful and toxic substances from the body. Any drinks are suitable as drinks, except for alcoholic and carbonated drinks, as well as too sour or salty ones.

But why not get additional benefits from the drink? Probably, our ancestors puzzled over this question when they discovered what relief warm milk brings to the patient, from which the intensity of the sore throat immediately decreases. The pain-relieving effect of such a drink will be even greater if you add a little butter to it.

Milk with butter for sore throat has become popular for a reason, because it is due to fat that a film is formed on the surface of the inflamed throat and tonsils, protecting the tissues from the irritating effects of the acid in the mouth. Warmth and protection soothe the sore throat and the unpleasant symptom quickly goes away.

To prepare such a throat-soothing drink, take a glass of warm milk and dissolve 1 tablespoon of butter in it.

True, neither milk nor butter have an antimicrobial effect, despite the fact that tonsillitis is an infectious disease. Honey helps to give the drink bactericidal properties, and at the same time an unusually pleasant taste. Milk with butter and honey not only relieves sore throats, but also helps fight the infection that has settled there.

The healing drink is prepared as follows: add 1 teaspoon of butter and the same amount of honey to a glass of warm milk. In principle, if desired, the amount of butter and honey can be increased, adjusting the taste of the milk mixture, although such changes will have little effect on the healing effect.

This medicine is not suitable for those patients whose body reacts badly to bee products, which are strong allergens. But children drink it with pleasure, preferring it to various kinds of syrups and suspensions.

There is another recipe for using butter for sore throat. Melt a small piece of butter (about 40 g) in a water bath, mix it with an equal amount of honey and add 1/3 teaspoon of soda. Mix everything thoroughly until a whitish foam appears and store in the refrigerator. Take 1 teaspoon several times a day, preheating the mixture (again in a water bath).

Natural remedies based on butter are good for both sore throats and coughs, which may appear several days after the onset of the disease.
