The most effective products for colds are considered to be figs with milk. For coughs, these ingredients can be used for both adults and children. They minimize painful attacks, increase the production of mucus in the bronchi and stimulate its removal.
Fig or wine berry is a plant rich in proteins, fats, tannins, minerals and organic acids. It has the following properties:
- Diaphoretic and antipyretic action.
- Positive effect on the cardiovascular system.
- Lowering bloodsugar and cholesterol levels.
- Prevention of anemia.
- Increasing the body's energy and performance.
- Cleansing the kidneys and liver from waste and toxins.
- Providing the body with useful vitamins and minerals.
Cooking recipes
- Take 1 liter of fresh cow's or goat's milk with at least 3% fat. Pour into a saucepan and place on the stove over medium heat. Cut a handful of figs into small cubes and add to the warm liquid. Check the remedy for 40 minutes, then wrap it up and let it brew for 2-3 hours. Strain and take ½ cup 3-4 times a day. The medicine can be stored in the refrigerator.
- Pour 750 ml of milk and 250 ml of purified water into one container and place on low heat. Take 4-6 large figs, wash and cut into 4 parts, placing in boiling liquid. Add a handful of dry linden blossom to the remedy and boil for 20-30 minutes. The drink should be infused until darkened and completely cooled, after which you need to add ½ cup of fresh cranberry juice. The medicine is taken 1 tablespoon 4-6 times a day. The course of treatment is 30 days.
Treatment is contraindicated in case of intolerance to the components of the decoction, allergy to figs, as well as stones in the kidneys and gall bladder, pancreatitis, cholecystitis. The remedy is not recommended for patients under 6 years of age, in case of obesity, diabetes mellitus and during pregnancy.
