Cidelon is an ophthalmologic drug with antimicrobial therapeutic activity. The drug has a combined composition and is used locally.

It has anti-inflammatory, disinfectant and anti-allergic effects. After local application of zinc sulfate, an astringent, local anti-inflammatory, and at the same time drying and disinfecting effect develops.

The drug enhances the medicinal activity of standard antimicrobial drugs when used in combination therapy.

Indications Cydelon

It is used in cases of inflammation in the anterior part of the eye that is of microbial origin (keratoconjunctivitis or keratitis ), as well as in cases of inflammatory reaction of the conjunctiva that develops after surgery.

Release form

The medicinal substance is released in the form of eye drops - inside a bottle equipped with a dropper cap, with a volume of 5 or 10 ml.

Pharmacodynamics

Decamethoxin has disinfectant activity and demonstrates a wide range of antimicrobial effects against gram-positive (streptococci with staphylococci and pneumococci) and -negative (meningococci with gonococci) cocci, as well as dermatophytes, chlamydia, pseudomonas with enterobacteria, protozoa, corynebacteria, viruses and yeast-like Candida fungi.

During the use of Cidelon, resistant forms of bacteria are formed slowly.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is used in the amount of 1-2 drops 3 times a day in the area of the sore eye.

The duration of therapy is selected by the doctor, taking into account the severity and progression of the pathology; the course often lasts until the signs of the disease completely disappear.

  • Application for children

Do not administer to persons under 12 years of age.

Use Cydelon during pregnancy

Due to the lack of experience with the use of the drug during breastfeeding and pregnancy, it is prescribed only after a thorough assessment of the risks and benefits.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in case of severe intolerance to the components of the drug.

Side effects Cydelon

Severe intolerance to the drug components may provoke hypersensitivity symptoms. Local manifestations in the area of drug use may be noted.

Interactions with other drugs

It is prohibited to use Cidelon in combination with other ophthalmic substances.

Storage conditions

Cidelon must be stored in a place closed to children. Temperature indicators - no more than 25 ° C.

Shelf life

Cidelon can be used within a 36-month period from the date of production of the therapeutic substance. The shelf life of an opened bottle is 2 weeks.

Analogues

Analogues of the drug are Vigamox, Oftalmodek, Okatsin with Floxal, Cofloxin and Tsiborat, as well as Oftadek, Tsipromed and Okodek.
