Plants from which herbal teas for gastritis are prepared are given by nature free of charge. They can be purchased at a green pharmacy or prepared independently, some can be grown and collected on your own plot. However, this does not mean that they can be consumed without indications or in unlimited quantities. Only a specialist can determine the method and dose of herbal teas for gastritis, colds, metabolic disorders and other problems.

Plants that are useful for gastritis, from which teas, infusions, and decoctions are prepared:

  • Anise seeds – relieve pain and inflammation, suppress Helicobacter.
  • Koporsky tea – envelops, stops inflammation, renews the walls of the stomach.
  • Flax seeds – have an enveloping and protective effect.
  • Mint – soothes and disinfects the stomach cavity.

Recipes for herbal teas for gastritis and gastric and duodenal ulcers

Some people enjoy making teas for gastritis at home. Herbal teas are successfully used not only for digestive pathologies, but also for weight loss, colds and other diseases. Our recipes for herbal teas for gastritis and stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers are for those who have enough patience only for quick treatment methods. The composition depends on the level of acid in the stomach.

For increased acidity:

  • Take mint, yarrow, St. John's wort, laburnum - 10 g each per 500 g of hot water. Infuse for 3 hours, strain, drink during the day, in portions of 70 g.
  • 2 tbsp Ivan tea per 500 ml of water – bring to a boil and leave for 40 minutes. Drink 50 g half an hour before meals.

For low acidity:

  • Mint, knotweed, dill and caraway seeds, chamomile, marsh cudweed, valerian root - 7 g each, hops - 5 g: pour 1000 ml of boiling water, leave overnight. Drink a glass on an empty stomach, the rest - during the day.
  • Brew 1 teaspoon of yarrow with a cup of boiling water, after 20 minutes add a drop of laurel oil. Drink 0.5 cups before and after meals.

Anise tea is prepared in a thermos: 1 teaspoon is poured with a cup of boiling water. Chamomile is infused in a cup for half an hour; it also goes well with lemon balm, mint, and St. John's wort.

Mixed collections are prepared according to the instructions, usually in the proportion of 1 teaspoon per glass of water. The dosage depends on the state of the digestive system, the form of the disease and the general health of the patient. It is important not to get carried away with self-medication, remembering that only a qualified specialist can correctly determine the diagnosis and prescribe effective herbal teas.

Chamomile tea for gastritis

Chamomile has long been used in therapeutic practice, and chamomile tea is drunk for gastritis, colds, liver, bladder and kidney diseases. The essential oil of the plant is a component of many pharmaceutical and cosmetic products - due to its unique properties: disinfectant, analgesic, wound healing, improving the condition of the skin and hair. It is used both internally and externally - for gastritis, ulcers, colds, stomatitis, tonsillitis.

Chamomile tea for gastritis:

The perennial plant Ivan-tea, in addition to its ancient name, has many synonyms: fireweed, willowherb, koporsky tea, skripnik, dremukha, breadbox, miller's, motherwort, etc. Flowers, stems, leaves, and roots are used for medical purposes.

The plant contains carotene, tannins, sugar, ascorbic acid (by the way, three times more than oranges), pectins, alkaloids, which together provide anti-inflammatory, regenerative, enveloping action. These properties make Ivan-tea useful for gastritis, colitis, ulcers.

Recipes for Koporye tea for gastritis:

  • 2 teaspoons pour a glass of boiling water, leave for 10 minutes. To improve the taste, add dried strawberries, blueberries, and other berries. One portion can be drunk in several doses.
  • Pour 30 g of dry raw material into 0.5 l of water, bring to a boil and leave for an hour. Drink 100 g during the day.
  • Boil 15 g of crushed leaves in 200 ml of water for 15 minutes, strain. Use in 4 doses.

One of the most popular folk medicine remedies is monastery tea for gastritis. This is a collection of plants created by ancient monks to maintain health, strengthen immunity, prevent and treat digestive problems.

The components of modern herbal tea for gastritis are grown in ecologically clean areas, collected by hand and processed using a special method. Due to this, the raw materials are maximally saturated with useful substances and do not contain third-party ingredients.

  • A classic monastery drink used for gastritis contains St. John's wort, yarrow, calendula, mint, rose hips, flax seeds, horsetail, wormwood, and marsh cudweed.

In combination, these plants boost immunity, improve metabolism, relieve pain, eliminate spasms, reduce inflammation intensity, and accelerate mucosal healing. The collection normalizes stool, improves motility, eliminates heartburn and nausea, and has a positive effect on the bile ducts.

The remedy is prepared in the usual way: the mixture is poured with boiling water and infused for half an hour. One teaspoon of raw material is required per glass. Infusions from fresh leaves are prepared for an hour.

Rosehip tea for gastritis

A unique plant, also called a wild rose, is a source of many useful and even healing substances. Its fruits are used to make tea for gastritis, as well as to improve health in general. In medicine, leaves, petals, and roots are used, from which oil, syrup, extract, powder, and alcohol tincture are prepared. Rose hips contain a record amount of vitamin C, other vitamins, pectins, tannins, and minerals. This is what determines the healing qualities of the prickly plant.

  • Tea for gastritis promotes the secretion of bile, normalizes peristalsis and secretion, and acts as a bactericidal drug.
  • For low acidity, an infusion is recommended - a glass three times a day, after meals. It is better to infuse in a thermos to preserve ascorbic acid.
  • In the hyperacid form, drugs with a high concentration of ascorbic acid are not recommended.

Directions for use: To prevent vitamin C from destroying tooth enamel, rosehip tea should be drunk through a straw.

Predisposition to thrombus formation, flatulence and constipation are significant contraindications. Hypotensive patients can drink not tea, but rosehip alcohol tincture according to the dosage.

Hibiscus tea for gastritis

Karkade is not tea in the classical sense of the word; the red drink is a decoction of the petals of the Sudanese rose, or hibiscus. A beautiful, unpretentious plant, a relative of our mallow, grown in warm countries on an industrial scale. The ancient Egyptians highly valued the healing properties of hibiscus, and called red tea "the drink of the pharaohs."

The drink strengthens blood vessels and nerves, eliminates swelling and toxins, including alcohol breakdown products. Hibiscus is an excellent thirst quencher, relieves stress, has a beautiful color and a pleasant taste in any form: hot, cool, with honey or ice. Thanks to these properties, hibiscus has gained immense popularity throughout the world. But is the red drink good for everyone?

A healthy person is allowed everything, but in small doses. Which cannot be said if you have health problems. For example, it is better not to drink hibiscus tea at all for gastritis with high acidity, or at least a little and only after meals. Moreover, there are plenty of other teas in pharmacies that bring medicinal benefits for gastritis.

Moderate amounts are recommended for children, pregnant women and the elderly. When choosing raw materials, you should be guided by the following criteria:

  • Large flowers have more benefits;
  • broken petals indicate overdrying;
  • The rich color is created by anthocyanins, which are particularly valuable components;
  • the loss of bright color confirms the destruction of anthocyanins: it is useless to drink such a liquid;
  • Transparent packaging is better than cardboard, and loose raw materials are of higher quality than bags.

Red tea can cause allergies. According to nutritionists, two or three servings a day will not cause harm, but with more, hibiscus can thin the blood too much and lower blood pressure.

Kuril tea for gastritis

Kuril tea is the name given to one of the species of cinquefoil – shrubby. It is a beautiful bush with bright yellow flowers, and new varieties of cinquefoil bred by biologists amaze with an abundance of red, white, pink flowers.

Medicinal properties are found in leaves, flowers, roots. In places where it grows, cinquefoil is used to treat gastric pathologies. In flowerbeds and summer cottages, the plant is found as a decorative ornament.

Kuril tea resembles black tea in taste and composition. It is used for gastritis due to the following properties:

  • normalization of digestion, including after overeating;
  • elimination of pain associated with the presence of inflammation and ulcers;
  • relief from pain and flatulence;
  • preventing heartburn.

Kuril tea for gastritis is brewed in the usual way, infused for at least 10 minutes. Various varieties of the product are available for sale. They are prescribed for various inflammations, to stimulate immunity, relieve pain and calm, as a choleretic and diuretic, antiviral and antibacterial agent.

In the presence of chronic diseases, the Kuril drink is used only on the recommendation of a doctor. It can be given to children, but with caution, and the drink is contraindicated for hypotensive patients.

Thyme tea for gastritis

Ancient healers could not ignore this beautiful plant with an unrivaled aroma. Popular names are thyme, thyme. As a spice, thyme is of interest to confectioners, cooks, producers of alcohol and soft drinks. And cosmetologists and perfumers use the herb in the production of perfumes, creams, shampoos.

Thyme tea for gastritis relieves pain, has a beneficial effect on intestinal microflora, and promotes the digestion of heavy food. The infusion is taken internally for pain and upset stomachs, gastrointestinal colic, constipation and flatulence, atony, and bad breath.

Sea buckthorn tea for gastritis

The benefits of sea buckthorn tea for gastritis are determined by the form of the disease. If with hyperacid gastritis fresh sea buckthorn, juice and decoction are prohibited, then with low acidity sour berries in any form are very useful.

  • Tea from dried sea buckthorn fruits is prepared according to the following recipe: 3 tbsp. are poured with 0.5 l of hot water, then boiled for 10 minutes. Drink throughout the day instead of tea, the quantity is not limited.

However, it is best to take sea buckthorn oil instead of tea for gastritis, which is rich in vitamins, essential micro- and macroelements, antioxidants. It perfectly envelops the inflamed surface, relieves pain, and restores damaged tissue.

Sea buckthorn oil can reduce acidity, protect the mucous membrane from aggressive environments and prevent the formation of ulcerative lesions. If erosions are present, they are treated with oil for a month, three spoons daily, which should be consumed an hour before meals. Contraindications are inflammation of the gallbladder, pancreas, and liver associated with gastritis. It should also be borne in mind that the oil can provoke an allergy.

In case of hypoacid gastritis, it is useful to eat frozen berries, which have a pleasant sourness. They are used to make jam, compote, marmalade, sauce - and all these sea buckthorn dishes are appropriate in the patient's menu.

Melissa tea for gastritis

Thanks to its delicate taste and attractive smell, the properties of lemon balm have long been studied, it is actively used by modern doctors, pharmacists, cosmetologists, and cooks. The popular name of the plant is lemon mint. It contains essential oil, resins, tannins, flavonoids and other biologically active ingredients that stimulate metabolic processes, remove toxins and excess fluid, and promote weight loss.

  • The herb is known for its calming and relaxing effect, and in the context of digestive problems, lemon balm tea is successfully used for gastritis (chronic), naturally, if there are no contraindications.
