Aspirin peeling cleanses the skin of the face, thanks to the active substance acidum acetylsalicylicum. Acetylsalicylic acid, which is its basis, has a fairly wide range of applications in cosmetology. Aspirin can be used when it is necessary to cleanse the skin of keratinized epidermal cells, relieve inflammation, normalize the secretion of the sebaceous glands, treat acne, remove comedones and narrow pores.

Systematic facial cleansing with acidum acetylsalicylicum leads to a reduction or disappearance of various types of peeling, and the skin tone and elasticity improve. Aspirin peeling is especially recommended for people with oily skin, which is most prone to acne and inflammation of various types. Aspirin prevents the spread of infection to deeper layers of facial skin and prevents the appearance of new rashes with inflammation and swelling.

Acetylsalicylic acid has a moisturizing property and helps maintain normal moisture balance in the skin, giving it elasticity.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Aspirin Facial Cleansing

The expected effect and benefits depend on the correct use and preparation of cosmetics with acidum acetylsalicylicum. The duration of exposure to an aspirin mask should not exceed a twenty-minute interval. If itching and burning occur, immediately interrupt the procedure and rinse the face with boiled water at a comfortable temperature. More gentle are facial cleansing with aspirin with honey or jojoba oil, because these ingredients soften and nourish the skin. Acetylsalicylic acid does not enter into aggressive chemical reactions with the components used for peeling. This is an advantage of using aspirin in cosmetology.

Indications for the procedure

Facial cleansing with aspirin gives positive results if you strictly follow the instructions for use and perform the peeling correctly.

A cleansing mask with aspirin is used when skin with active secretion of sebaceous glands tends to form pustular inflammations. After use, they become less noticeable or disappear completely. Bumpy and shiny skin becomes matte and velvety.

Because aspirin promotes hydration and moisture retention in the upper layers of the epidermis.

The use of peeling is recommended for mature skin. As a result of the action, fine facial wrinkles are smoothed out, and the skin regains its elasticity.

It is important to remember that the peeling mask contains a medicinal product, the thoughtless use of which can lead to unexpected results.

Preparation

Aspirin peeling is preceded by 2 stages.

Cleansing. The skin must be thoroughly cleansed with a cleanser (foam, gel, but not a scrub to avoid microtrauma to the skin surface). Wash gently with plenty of water, pat dry with a towel or paper napkins.

Steaming. In order for the pores on the skin to open as much as possible, it is necessary to use a steam bath for the face from medicinal herbs (succession, chamomile, sage, etc.). The duration of the procedure is 10 minutes.

Technique aspirin facials

After the steaming procedure, the prepared mixture containing acidum acetylsalicylicum is carefully applied to the skin along massage lines, trying to cover the problem areas as much as possible. It is prohibited to use it in the nasolabial triangle area and around the eyes. The product is left on the face for a quarter of an hour, after which time the face is washed with water at a comfortable temperature and gently blotted with a clean towel.

It is recommended to perform home facial cleansing with acetylsalicylic acid once a week.

The effectiveness of a mask with acetylsalicylic acid does not manifest itself instantly. It is necessary to carry out a course of such procedures about 10 times and the result will be excellent. Thanks to facial cleansing with aspirin, small expression wrinkles become less noticeable, and the skin will be soft and velvety. When fighting freckles, this procedure will lighten them a little.

It is advisable to use face masks and scrubs with acidum acetylsalicylicum in the evening. After the procedure, do not expose your skin to ultraviolet rays in the next few hours. If you need to go outside during daylight hours, be sure to apply sunscreen.

Aspirin facial cleansing at home

Aspirin facial cleansing can be done in a beauty salon or at home.

Using pure aspirin at home, you can make your own facial cleansing mixture. The acid it contains can help with oily, porous, as well as mature and aging skin. When cleaning your face with aspirin, you will need the following ingredients: uncoated acetylsalicylic acid tablets (3 pcs.) crush into powder and sift through a sieve; for oily skin, you need to take some water - 0.5 teaspoon; for dry skin, you need to add 0.5 teaspoon of jojoba oil; 1 tablespoon of honey.

Mix the mask components thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Place in a water bath.

The resulting mixture should be creamy so that it can be easily applied to the areas to be treated without fear of spreading.

Facial cleansing with aspirin and honey

This mask with aspirin and honey is suitable for deep facial cleansing at home. Honey, which is part of the mask, has a nourishing and moisture-saturating effect, especially when penetrating into the deep layers of the skin. Here are a couple of mask recipes:

  1. 4 uncoated acetylsalicylic acid tablets are added to water (1 teaspoon), and then a few drops of liquid honey. In the presence of allergic reactions associated with the intake of API products, honey can be replaced with vegetable oils (for example, olive oil).
  2. Grind uncoated aspirin tablets (3 pcs.). Dissolve in water (0.5 teaspoon) and add jojoba oil (0.5 teaspoon) and 1 teaspoon of honey.
  • Aspirin facial cleansing mask. A good antiseptic solution is obtained by diluting aspirin with boiled water or water for injection. When making cosmetic products containing aspirin at home, it is advisable to use various ingredients (oils of various plants, apple cider vinegar or honey), choosing them depending on the skin type.
  • With lotion: Add 3 crushed uncoated tablets to cleansing lotion.
  • Cosmetic mask. Add a few drops of water to 2 crushed aspirin tablets and combine with any regularly used cosmetic mask.
  • With oatmeal. 4 aspirin tablets crushed to powder without wafers, dissolved in 1 teaspoon of water and mixed with 1 tablespoon of crushed oatmeal.
  • Classic. Uncoated aspirin tablets (3-4 pcs.) are crushed and brought to a powder-like state. Boiled water or water for injections is added and stirred until a gruel is formed.
  • With lemon juice. Grind 6 aspirin tablets in a mortar until powdery, add lemon juice, and treat your face with the resulting mixture.
  • With yogurt. Aspirin tablets (2 pcs.) moisten with a few drops of water, crush and grind until smooth, add milk yogurt (1 tablespoon). Expose the mask on the face for 15-20 minutes.

The described masks have a double effect:

  1. They have an exfoliating effect.
  2. They are masks because they moisturize, restore the skin, and normalize the functioning of sebaceous glands with increased secretory activity.

The masks may additionally contain various components: sea salt, cosmetic clay, kefir, sour cream, vegetable oils and fruit juices.

Contraindications to the procedure

Like most medications, it has side effects. Acidum acetylsalicylicum is no exception. It is better to refrain from procedures using salicylates during pregnancy and lactation, with hypersensitivity to the basic active ingredient, in the acute phase of a chronic somatic disease, regardless of its genesis. In case of manifestations of venereal or dermatological diseases, peeling should be avoided. Violation of the integrity of the skin (the presence of small scratches, abrasions, wounds) is a reason to refuse chemical peeling. It is necessary to wait for complete healing and recovery. Before the first use of facial cleansing with aspirin at home, it is necessary to conduct a sensitivity test to this drug. It is necessary to take a small amount (a few drops) of the prepared aspirin peeling, apply it to the wrist. If after 15-20 minutes there is no itching, burning or redness on the treated area of the skin, then you can start peeling.

Consequences after the procedure

Like most cosmetic procedures, facial cleansing with acidum acetylsalicylicum has its positive and negative properties. It is always necessary to observe reasonable restrictions. Do not neglect the advice and instructions for use and performance of procedures. It is necessary to adhere to the exposure time specified in the instructions, remove the products from the face in time, and if any unpleasant sensations occur, immediately stop the therapy. When using scrubs, there is no need to rub your face vigorously. The movements should be neat and soft.

If chemical peeling is used too frequently, rosacea may occur. It is necessary to alternate aspirin facial cleansing with nourishing masks. Long-term exposure of the mask on the face can lead to dry skin and peeling. It is recommended to perform the cleansing procedure in the evening. If the procedure was performed during the day, then after its completion, give the skin some time to recover. Before going outside immediately after peeling, it is necessary to apply sunscreen, especially in the summer - with a large amount of ultraviolet radiation.

Care after the procedure

After aspirin facial cleansing, the skin needs to be given the opportunity to calm down and recover. To do this, you need to follow some rules for facial care. After a chemical peeling, do not go outside for some time.

During rehabilitation, you can use soothing masks, moisturizing and nourishing creams. All these procedures will help protect the skin from possible drying and peeling.
