Actor Christian Slater's trainer, Michael George, makes him do a 10-minute abdominal exercise during every workout. And while they do different exercises, this is their favorite. It's George's invention (as you might have guessed), and it simultaneously strengthens the obliques and upper abs.
How to do it:
- Lie on your back with your legs bent and your feet on the floor.
- Place your left hand behind your head so that your fingers lightly touch the back of your head behind your left ear, and place your right hand on your stomach.
- Straighten your left leg and lift it approximately 3 cm from the floor.
- Then bring your left elbow toward your right knee, lifting your head and shoulders off the floor.
- Perform 2 sets of 15-25 reps on each side.
