Recently, O2Amps glasses were presented, thanks to which it was possible to see through a person. Evena Medical presented a more advanced development, which will be very useful in the medical field - glasses of the Eyes-On Glasses system. Almost any medical worker, in particular nurses, will be able to use the portable Eyes-On Glasses transdermal imaging system from EVENA. It is expected that the practical application of such a system will begin in hospitals around the world in the very near future. Thanks to glasses of this kind, intravenous administration of drugs will be significantly simplified, since they allow you to view the human circulatory system in real time and make an injection precisely into a vein.

O2Amps glasses that allowed you to see right through a person

Evena Medical has created glasses based on its own 3D visualization technology. The prototype of the system was an earlier development by Evena Medical, which displayed an image of the location of blood vessels under the skin on a monitor. Now the developers have made it so that the image is projected directly onto the glasses display, which makes it possible to make the hands completely free. In addition, the developers have equipped the Eyes-On Glasses system with the ability to store video and images, as well as transmit information via 3G, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. This will allow exchanging information with doctors who are at the other end of the hospital, as well as connecting to the medical records system. The Japanese developers have implemented a high-resolution screen in the new system, which was inherited from the Moverlo BT-100 glasses (interactive glasses that can replace a monitor or TV screen). The computer and batteries, which are attached to the belt, make the weight of the glasses themselves very light and almost imperceptible when worn. But, despite their lightness, they project a picture of unique high quality.

As studies show, approximately 40% of intravenous injections occur with repeated attempts to get into the vein, since some patients have veins located deeper and are almost invisible visually. Because of this, not only wasted precious time, but also caused unpleasant and painful sensations for the patient. Also, there are often cases when an urgent injection of a drug is required, and the first time it is not possible to get into the right vein, as a result, the time spent searching for a vein can cause serious consequences for the patient. This development will not only facilitate the work of medical personnel, but also patients who will not be subjected to painful puncturing of the skin several times. When using Eyes-On glasses, a nurse will see a 3D image of the human circulatory system. After this, it will not be difficult to find the necessary vein and make an injection. Deliveries of the new glasses are planned to begin in the first quarter of 2014. The price of such "smart" glasses will be within 10 thousand dollars, sales will be conducted in most major world markets, the only exception will be the EU.
