Scientists at the Institute of Cancer Research have discovered how cancer cells can be pushed out of tumors and spread throughout the body. Experts believe that this discovery will allow the creation of new drugs against oncological diseases.

It is no secret that when a tumor reaches the metastasis stage, it becomes very difficult to treat, because secondary tumors are very aggressive. According to official statistics, 90% of deaths caused by oncology are due to metastases.
The JAK protein is present during the movement of cells in all types of cancer, scientists say.
It should be said that JAK has previously been linked to leukemia, and there are currently drugs that specifically target this protein. They may also help stop the spread of cancer. Clinical trials should begin in the coming years.
