Many people don’t notice this, but some morning habits later negatively affect not only their mood, but also their health.

Analyze how you start your morning? Surely, each person has more than one habit that has been present for many years. Medical experts wondered whether certain actions can affect our health. As a result, the most harmful habits associated with the beginning of the day were named.

  1. You should not jump out of bed abruptly – even if the alarm clock rings unexpectedly. Scientists claim that in such a situation, there is a sharp increase in the level of stress hormones in the body, which leads to various problems: these include surges in blood pressure, and heart problems, and the appearance of irritability or aggression. Among other things, getting up abruptly can provoke diseases of the spinal column, changes in cerebral circulation. Doctors' recommendations are easy to remember: it is advisable to set the alarm clock a few minutes earlier so that you can lie quietly in bed in the morning, adapt, and only then get up – without haste.
  2. When you wake up, you shouldn't immediately turn to your tablet or smartphone. Early morning thoughts about upcoming tasks and concerns, a sharp focus on problems, eye strain - all these factors undermine psychological health, worsen visual function, and bring imbalance to the nervous system. And morning surfing on social networks in most cases increases stress levels and increases overall tension. Not the best emotions in the morning, right?
  3. Morning hygiene procedures are a must. But doctors advise avoiding washing with hot water – it is better to use moderately cool water for this. High temperatures dry out the skin, dehydrate it and lead to early aging and wrinkles.
  4. Morning coffee is a kind of obligatory ritual for many people, without which the morning is not morning. But doctors warn: you should not drink coffee on an empty stomach, as this can lead to the development of gastritis or other problems in the digestive system. Therefore, it is best to have breakfast first, and only then drink your favorite drink.
  5. Many people have far from cheerful thoughts after waking up, because a new day can bring new problems. This is what pessimists think, and by the way, there are quite a few of them. Psychologists do not advise starting the day with negativity, because, as we know, thoughts tend to materialize. The best solution: if you are overcome by pessimistic moods in the morning, you can turn on your favorite music, eat a delicious breakfast and just smile at your reflection in the mirror. The day will go much better!

A morning without rush, discontent and irritability is a great start that will allow you to improve your mood and become healthier - both physically and psychologically.
