Specialists from Russia tested anti-aging pills
Last reviewed: 01.07.2025
A group of Russian scientists who have been developing a new drug for the treatment of toxic liver cirrhosis for a long time have begun to study the side effects of this drug. Some time ago, the drug was called a "pill for old age", so the specialists, without waiting for the end of clinical trials, decided to begin studying the unusual properties of the drug.
The researchers reported that the results were more than positive and exceeded all possible expectations. The main property of the new drug, with the help of which it will be possible to cure liver cirrhosis, is the launch of recovery processes and mechanisms in the human body. The use of the drug causes an increased release of stem cells, which stimulate the restoration of blood cells, tissues and internal organs in general. Studies of the drug, which were conducted by scientists earlier, showed that the drug can cure toxic liver cirrhosis. For several weeks, specialists conducted experiments on small rodents, and the results of the experiment were positive: the liver cells of white mice were completely restored. Until recently, toxic liver cirrhosis was considered a virtually incurable and very serious disease.
Liver cirrhosis is a dangerous disease characterized by the replacement of parenchymatous liver tissue with connective tissue. The liver affected by cirrhosis looks lumpy, rough, and also significantly increases in size. In developed countries, liver cirrhosis is one of the most common diseases, which often leads to the death of the patient. Most often, toxic cirrhosis occurs as a result of prolonged intoxication of the body with alcohol or drugs, food poisons. The inflammatory reaction that occurs in the affected liver cells leads to their gradual death.
Toxic liver cirrhosis is a condition when toxins entering the body with food and drinks are not neutralized by diseased liver cells and cannot be excreted from the body. In this case, all toxins enter the blood directly and affect both the nervous system and other cells of the body. Toxic cirrhosis can be caused by the following factors: an abundance of too much fatty food and an unbalanced diet, chronic diseases of the internal organs, alcohol abuse, prolonged fasting, drug use or use of substances that are considered poisons.
The head of the company that will produce a new drug against liver cirrhosis has not yet claimed that the drug is capable of preventing human aging. Despite this, the press has already called the drug "pills against aging" since its restorative properties have become known. Clinical trials of the new drug will officially begin at the end of 2013, involving several volunteer patients.
Until now, experiments had been conducted only on animals and the results had amazed scientists: the drug was capable of restoring damaged liver cells and, possibly, pancreas cells. After specialists had made sure that the drug was not dangerous for humans, a decision was made to conduct experiments on volunteers who suffered from toxic cirrhosis of the liver. If they were cured, scientists would conduct further experiments that would prove that the drug could be used to combat aging.
