Color therapy: healing with color
Last reviewed: 01.07.2025
Color therapy... The name itself evokes pleasant associations and colorful pictures immediately appear in the head. With the help of this method of treatment, you can correct disorders of the body and soul.
Treatment with color has been used since time immemorial. For example, the sages of ancient India discovered that color vibrations help to heal many ailments.
The treatment is based on the fact that colors cause a reaction in each of the biologically active zones of the body. Photons are elementary color particles that penetrate our body, provoke the onset of biological reactions in tissues, activate the production of hormones, stimulate the glands and regulate metabolism. When a color wave hits the active receptors of the iris zone, the signal goes to the brain and penetrates all physiological structures of the body. When an imbalance occurs in one of the organs, “impregnation” of the body with the energy of the corresponding color will help restore normal processes.
To heal various diseases, fabrics or rooms painted in the desired color are usually used. A healthy body is in balance with the seven basic colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, blue and violet.
So, which color is responsible for which area:
Red
Activates normal metabolism, increases blood pressure and quickens the pulse. If you have a headache, you can wet a red towel with water and apply it to your head. After a while, the spasm should pass due to the fact that the red color increases the production of adrenaline and improves blood circulation.
Orange
It helps cleanse the body of toxins, beneficially affecting the functioning of the bladder, kidneys and adrenal glands. It is recommended to use this color during menopause, because orange is able to stabilize the hormonal background.
Yellow
It is aimed at treating and eliminating problems with the gastrointestinal tract. It is used for disorders of the gallbladder, liver, stomach and spleen.
Green
Helps to achieve mental balance. Used to treat disorders and nervous diseases.
Blue
Soothes stomach ulcer pain, relieves irritation and helps fight insomnia. People suffering from sleep disorders are recommended to read at night under a lamp with a blue lampshade, and sleep will not take long to come.

Blue
It is one of the most powerful pain-relieving colors of the spectrum. It is used to treat migraines, inflammations, burns and bruises. If you suddenly catch a cold and have a runny nose, use a blue handkerchief - it is excellent for inflammation of the nasal sinuses.
Purple
Normalizes the state of the lymphatic system, therefore it is useful for any internal inflammations. With the help of flashes of violet color, you can calm your nerves and relieve eye strain.
To apply color therapy in practice and introduce it into everyday life, it is necessary to wear clothes of the required color, replace white towels with colored ones at home, the same can be done with bed linen. Color therapy can also be done with the help of nutrition - eat foods of a certain color.
