There are probably no people who have not learned from their own experience what a wart is. It is a formation rising above the skin, mostly benign, with keratinized cells. It does not cause much inconvenience if it is not located in visible places or is not subject to injury. But suddenly it turns out that the wart has turned black, what to do?

Causes of wart blackening

Warts have a viral etiology, the culprit of their appearance is the human papilloma virus. Any changes in the body can lead to a change in their color, shape, quantity. Blackening of a wart without an apparent reason is a reason to contact a specialist. This may indicate both natural death and progression of the virus, its degeneration into a malignant tumor, the presence of an inflammatory process. [ 1 ] Sometimes this happens as a result of treatment.

The wart turned black after celandine

It is not for nothing that this herb is also called wart grass, its "poisonous" chemical composition is able to cope with the growth. The plant contains more than 20 alkaloids, organic acids, saponins, bitters, resinous substances, carotenoids, ascorbic acid, essential oils.

The procedure for removing a wart begins with steaming and cutting off the top layer of the formation. Then several times a day it is moistened with fresh celandine juice, using all its parts. In summer, you can give preference to a fresh plant, especially since it grows everywhere like a weed.

If there is no way to pick it or it is not the season, you can use celandine tincture bought at the pharmacy. For plantar warts, you need to make compresses and leave them overnight.

The blackening of the wart after nitrogen indicates the effectiveness of the remedy: when it dries, it changes color. And then it falls off. [ 2 ]

The wart turned black after being cauterized with nitrogen

One of the most effective methods of removing a wart is cryodestruction or cauterization with liquid nitrogen. Exposing the growth to a substance whose temperature is close to -200 0 C leads to freezing of the tissues, and then their death. Often, evidence that the treatment has had an effect is the blackening of the wart. After some time, it should fall off. [ 3 ]

The wart has shrunk and turned black after using Eplan ointment

To get rid of warts at home, you can use Eplan ointment. The drug has bactericidal, softening, analgesic, regenerating properties. It has no contraindications and can be used by everyone without any restrictions.

The wart should be lubricated with ointment at least twice a day, and for greater effectiveness, apply a napkin soaked in the substance to it. The result of successful treatment will be blackening of the formation, since the root is killed and does not provide nutrition to its upper layer, a decrease in size, complete disappearance after a certain period of time.

The wart has turned black but is not falling off

There are several options for action when the wart has turned black, but does not fall off as a result of exposure to one or another remedy. The first is that it does not hurt, is not inflamed and does not cause any unpleasant sensations. In this case, after some time, you can try another home treatment method. If it has turned black and hurts, then you must definitely see a doctor and make sure that nothing dangerous has happened. A specialist will decide what to do if the wart has turned black, apply another conservative treatment method or resort to surgical removal. [ 4 ]

Sometimes it is necessary to undergo a course of treatment with antiviral drugs.
