Last reviewed: 04.07.2025

Today, medical practice involves dealing with various diseases and syndromes. More and more parents come to the ophthalmologist complaining that their child's eyes are festering. In most cases, this is not an independent disease, but one of the symptoms of another, more serious disease. The symptom manifests itself in different ways: from a simple discharge of purulent exudate from the eye to complex cases with pain and fever.
Statistics
According to statistics, purulent discharge from the eye is quite common in childhood, from 1 to 3-4 years. This is due to the fact that this is one of the most difficult periods of a child's development. This period is characterized by intensive development of the child. The immune system also weakens significantly, as a result of which the child is maximally susceptible to various infectious and inflammatory diseases.
In addition, at this time children play a lot, spend time with other peers. They do not observe hygiene rules, can bring an infection into the eye. All this contributes to the accumulation of pus, various discharges. About 35% of all cases of purulent discharge occur precisely during this period.
In about 12% of cases, purulent discharge is observed in elderly and advanced age people. This is mainly due to dystrophic processes in the retina and conjunctiva. Sometimes the cause is a general inflammatory process, senile atrophic processes.
The cause of purulent discharge in 78% of cases is a bacterial infection. The main pathogen is staphylococcus (45% of cases, streptococcus - 32% of cases). Klebsiella, enterococci, E. coli, fungus-like microorganisms are also common etiological factors.
In 8% of cases, the cause of the development of purulent discharge is allergic reactions, hypersensitization of the body. In 5% of cases, purulent discharge is caused by other reasons, for example: parasitic infection, eye strain, intoxication, irritation of the mucous membrane by various substances of chemical, radiological origin.
Why do children's eyes fester?
The main reason why pus appears in a child's eyes is an infection. It gets into the eye from the internal environment, or from the environment. Inflammation develops, which is often accompanied by abundant pus discharge. In this case, pus is an accumulation of mucus that washes the eye and contains a secretion, tear fluid. Leukocytes are gradually attracted to the site of inflammation, which causes clouding.
The child has a runny nose and festering eyes
A runny nose, especially a purulent one, is often accompanied by copious discharge, intense inflammation and an infectious process. The main infection and pus accumulate in the nasal cavity. Through the nasolacrimal canal, the purulent contents of the nasal cavity can enter the eyeball, resulting in purulent discharge from the eye.
Quite often, microorganisms that are the causative agents of purulent diseases enter through the nasolacrimal canal. They begin to grow and multiply in the nasolacrimal canal and nasal cavity, resulting in inflammation and pus in the eyes. In this case, the mucous membrane of the eye is most often affected. Pus is a cluster of leukocytes, dead cells and microorganisms.
First of all, it is necessary to treat the main cause of the appearance of purulent exudate - the inflammatory process in the nasal cavity. Having eliminated it, the inflammation in the eye will gradually decrease, until it completely disappears. But in some cases, for example, with severe inflammation, a high degree of bacterial contamination, it is necessary to resort to local eye therapy. For this, various eye drops and ointments are used. Antibacterial therapy has proven itself well, since pus is directly related to the infectious process.
The child's eye is watery and festering
If one of the child's eyes is watery and festering, this indicates that the eye has become infected. It has caused an inflammatory process, which has led to the formation of purulent exudate. It is necessary to treat both eyes, since the infection spreads very quickly through the mucous membrane, lacrimal and nasolacrimal canals. The most effective treatment method is antibacterial therapy and anti-inflammatory treatment. It is necessary to consult a doctor in advance, self-medication can be dangerous. Many doctors prefer broad-spectrum antibiotics. The choice of therapy - local or general - depends on the severity of the infectious process, the neglect of the purulent-inflammatory process.
The child has purulent eyes and a runny nose
A severe runny nose is very often accompanied by an inflammatory process, the migration of infection from one section to another. Through the nasolacrimal canal, fluid penetrates into the eye and causes the development of infection, the appearance of purulent discharge. The main cause - a runny nose - must be treated. Treatment of the eye and purulent discharge from the eye is an auxiliary method of therapy. For treatment, not only traditional medications are used, but also folk, homeopathic remedies. Let's consider some of them.
- Recipe No. 1. Ointment for lubricating the nasal septum and maxillary sinuses.
This ointment is effective because a large amount of infection often accumulates in the nasopharynx and maxillary sinuses. By eliminating it, the inflammatory process is significantly reduced, and accordingly, the inflammation and the amount of discharge are reduced.
The ointment is prepared from burdock leaves. They must first be dried in the sun, or simply in a warm, dry room. Then they must be placed on a flat plate and set on fire. After the leaf has completely burned, ash and a sticky liquid should remain. All this is mixed until a resinous substance is formed. Then this substance is applied in a thin layer to the affected area.
The effect of the ointment can be enhanced if it is kept warm. For this purpose, it is recommended to heat the ointment in a water bath immediately before application.
- Recipe #2. Ointment for eliminating a runny nose
This ointment allows you to quickly and effectively eliminate a runny nose. As a result of the disappearance of the runny nose, purulent discharge from the eyes will also disappear, as a consequence of the infectious and inflammatory process. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the nasal septum, cheek area, around the eyes, without touching the eyelids.
To prepare the ointment, you will need the glue of young trees collected in the spring. The best is the glue of the apricot tree. It is melted with the addition of a small amount of boiled or distilled water. After that, add about a tablespoon of honey and stir until completely dissolved and a homogeneous mass is formed. Apply a thin layer to the affected area. You can smear up to three times a day. Duration of treatment is until the purulent discharge completely disappears.
- Recipe #3. Ointment for external use
Honey with soda quickly eliminates inflammation and reduces the appearance of any spots. To do this, melt the honey in a water bath, then remove from heat and add soda (on the tip of a knife). Mix thoroughly and apply to the skin 3-4 times a day until the discharge completely disappears. If a child's eyes are festering, this remedy is one of the most effective. Apply to the nose, nasal septum.
The child has a fever and his eyes are festering.
Temperature is one of the signs of the development of an inflammatory and infectious process in the body. The inflammatory process can occur in any part of the human body. Most often, pus in the eyes appears with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the ear, throat, nose, as well as with bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy. This is due to the fact that the nasopharynx and pharynx in the body are closely interconnected. The nasopharynx has a direct connection with the eye through the nasolacrimal canal, which connects the nasal cavity and the eye. Through this canal, purulent exudate and infection can penetrate from the nasopharynx into the eye, which leads to the development of an inflammatory process.
In some cases, the eyes may fester as a result of inflammatory diseases of the brain, in particular, meningitis. In this case, the infection and inflammatory process spread through the retina of the eye, directly into the eyeball. As a result, the temperature rises as a response to the inflammation.
Purulent processes occur as a response to the introduction of pathogenic microflora into the body. Microorganisms are attracted to the place where pathogens accumulate. During their life activity, endo- and exotoxins are released, which only increase inflammation and cause intoxication. The immune system is gradually activated. It begins to produce a complex of protective proteins, which also penetrate the site of inflammation. To fight infection, the body synthesizes various protein complexes. Circulating immune cells, leukocytes are formed, which also enter the site of the development of the inflammatory process. On the one hand, bacteria, their waste products, toxins increase inflammation. On the other hand, blood cells, immune factors of the body, proteins synthesized by the body are aimed at fighting infection and reducing the infectious and inflammatory process. In any case, this process is accompanied by cell death, accumulation of metabolic by-products. All this accumulates at the site of inflammation in the form of exudate of purulent genesis.
In order for the recovery and infection-fighting reactions to proceed faster, the body temperature rises. In some cases, the temperature may rise as a result of intoxication with by-products of bacterial cell metabolism. Sometimes autoimmune processes occur, which can also cause an increase in temperature. This means excessive activation of the immune system, which leads to the body synthesizing too many anti-inflammatory factors that destroy not only bacterial cells, but also the body's own cells.
In some cases, the cause may be the penetration of infection directly into the eye. As a result, conjunctivitis develops, which is accompanied by the release of pus.
Treatment depends on what caused the inflammation. Etiological treatment is mainly used, aimed at eliminating the cause of the disease. So, if the cause is a bacterium, antibacterial therapy is carried out, for diseases of a viral nature, antiviral drugs are prescribed. With the development of a purulent-inflammatory process of autoimmune origin, immune correction is required. Thus, all this indicates that diagnostics is of great importance. It is important to promptly identify the cause of the disease and take the necessary measures. Therefore, at the first signs of fever and the appearance of purulent exudate, it is necessary to consult a doctor as soon as possible.
The child's eye is swollen and festering
The eye may swell if an infection gets into it. Usually, in this case, an inflammatory process or an autoimmune reaction develops. In any case, a purulent exudate appears. The eye usually turns red and fills with pus. Often, all this is accompanied by severe itching, burning and itching. The eye may also swell as a result of edema, which may be a consequence of an allergic reaction or impaired kidney function. When the first signs of swelling in the eye area appear, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Only a doctor can prescribe the correct treatment. Self-medication usually does not bring positive results, but only aggravates the process.
A child's eyes are festering due to ARVI
ARVI is an acute respiratory viral infection that can enter the body in various ways and cause inflammation and infection. Most often, the virus enters the body through the airborne droplets through the nasal passages. Then the infection penetrates the mucous membrane, spreads throughout the nasopharynx, pharynx. Through the nasolacrimal feces, the infection can penetrate into the eye, where inflammation develops.
Treatment is etiological. It is necessary to see a doctor as soon as possible, who will help to make a diagnosis and choose the right treatment. Usually, special drops or ointment are prescribed for the eyes. But mostly, antiviral therapy is prescribed. Having eliminated the viral infection, the symptoms usually go away on their own.
A child's eyes fester when he has a cold
When you have a cold, your eyes often fester, especially in children. This is because the infection penetrates the eye through the nasolacrimal canal, where it causes inflammation and spread of the infection. First of all, you need to take measures to eliminate cold symptoms. Then your eyes will stop fester without any additional measures, as a result of a cold. Alternative remedies can help, including herbal medicine, alternative medicines, and homeopathy.
Let's look at some folk recipes.
- Recipe No. 1.
Oil from celandine herb helps eliminate cold symptoms in a short period. Take 2 tablespoons of the herb and pour a glass of boiled hot sunflower oil. Cover tightly with a lid, let it brew for 2-3 hours. After that, use the product as a massage oil. Particular attention should be paid to rubbing the chest area, back, shoulder blade area. This is especially helpful for severe coughs.
It is also used as an oil for foot baths. About 2-3 tablespoons of oil are used per liter of hot water. After steaming your feet, you need to dry them, put on warm socks and go to bed as quickly as possible, covered with a warm blanket.
This remedy is also used for inhalation. Use a tablespoon of celandine oil per liter of hot water. Add it to a basin, bend over it and cover yourself with a towel. You need to breathe over the steam for 5-10 minutes, after which you need to go to bed as quickly as possible and cover yourself warmly.
It is not recommended to take celandine internally, as it contains toxins that can cause severe intoxication and also cause an allergic reaction.
- Recipe No. 2.
To eliminate cold symptoms, compresses are used. For example, fresh plantain leaves are used. They are soaked in boiling water, shaken off the water and applied to the back, shoulder blade area, chest to eliminate cold symptoms. You can also use plantain leaves as an eye compress. So, the leaves are crushed, placed in gauze or bandage. Dip in boiling water, squeezed out, allowed to cool to a warm, comfortable state. Then apply to the eyelid area, closing the eyes. You need to lie down for at least 10 minutes.
- Recipe No. 3.
A decoction of chamomile, lavender, and sage has proven itself well. This decoction is suitable for both internal and external use. Prepare a mixture (herbs are taken in equal parts). To prepare the decoction, add one tablespoon of herbs to a glass of boiling water. Brew and let steep in a thermos for an hour. The remedy can be taken internally (drink a third of a glass three times a day), used in the form of lotions, compresses, for rubbing during massage.
- Recipe No. 4.
If a child has a severe cold, accompanied by coughing, sneezing, pain in the chest and shoulder blades, a turpentine rub will help. As soon as the cold symptoms disappear, the eyes will stop festering on their own. Rubbing helps quickly relieve pain, inflammation, eliminates burning and itching. Take 5 ml of turpentine and rub into the spots until fever appears. It is recommended to rub into the shoulder blades or chest area. It is necessary to test it on a small area of the body first, for example, on the inner surface of the arm. If there is no negative reaction, it can be used as a rub.
To soften, you can put a thin layer of honey on top, pour warm water on top. This will help relieve the burning sensation if it accompanies the rubbing process. Keep the compress for 30 minutes. Remove and lubricate with Vaseline, as irritation may occur. The product should not be applied to the eyes, even if it is heavily diluted.
- Recipe No. 5.
To eliminate cold symptoms, use an ointment. Take 1 tablespoon of chokeberry, lingonberry and viburnum berries, stevia leaves and calendula seeds (marigold). Mix with 50 grams of glycerin, bring to a homogeneous mass. Then apply a thin layer to the area of the shoulder blades, sternum in case of a strong cough.
- Recipe No. 6.
It is recommended to use castor oil for colds, to which oak bark, a few drops of jojoba oil and 2-3 drops of clove essential oil are added. All this is thoroughly mixed, brought to a boil in a water bath. Then cover with a lid and allow to brew for an hour. To eliminate cold symptoms, apply a thin layer to the skin, up to 5 times a day.
The child's eye is red and festering
First of all, it is necessary to make sure that there is no foreign body in the eye. If there is a foreign body, it must be removed from the eye as quickly as possible. Then, antiseptic or anti-inflammatory drops are instilled. If there is no foreign body, complex therapy is used. It is necessary to consult a doctor who will select adequate treatment and eliminate the cause of the disease.
The child's eyes are festering in the morning
If pus appears in the morning, as soon as the child wakes up, this may indicate the accumulation of infection in the body. Most often, this is bacterial microflora, which intensively multiplies during the night and colonizes various biotopes. An allergic reaction may also be the cause.
In order to eliminate pus, it is necessary to normalize the microflora, as well as bring the human immune system into a balanced state. Therefore, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible, who will examine the eye for various pathologies and prescribe the necessary treatment.
The child has a cough and purulent eyes.
Cough is almost always accompanied by the development of an inflammatory process and infection. Through the nasolacrimal feces, the infection penetrates into the eye, where an inflammatory process develops, which is accompanied by the formation of purulent exudate.
Symptomatic treatment aimed at removing pus from the eyes is ineffective in most cases. It is necessary to use etiological treatment aimed at eliminating the cause of the pathology. Thus, it is necessary to first cure the cough, and only then will the pus from the eyes disappear as a direct consequence.
The child has an earache and festering eyes
In the human body, all organs and systems are interconnected. Thus, the ear is connected to the nasopharynx via the Eustachian tube. The nasopharynx, in turn, is connected to the eye via the nasolacrimal canal. Thus, an infection from the ear can penetrate directly into the eye. Also, in severe ear pathologies, in which purulent exudate accumulates in the ear, it can penetrate into the brain. After this, the infection can penetrate into the eye through the internal septum, which borders the retina.
In any case, first of all, it is necessary to determine the cause of the pathology, then select adequate treatment. Only an experienced doctor can do this. Therefore, you cannot delay a visit to the doctor. Self-medication is prohibited, since the pathology can only worsen.
The child's eyes are festering and itchy
This may be a sign of an allergic reaction. Therefore, you must first make sure that it is really an allergy. Only then can you begin treatment. It is better to consult a doctor and not self-medicate. But still, everyone needs to know the basic means that allow you to quickly and effectively get rid of itching and pus in the eyes.
First of all, antiallergic drugs are prescribed. For example, suprastin has proven itself well. It is taken 1 tablet 2-3 times a day, depending on the severity of the disease and the degree of symptoms. Before starting to use the drug, you need to carefully read the instructions. In particular, it is worth paying attention to the fact that suprastin can cause drowsiness and slow reaction. Therefore, it should be taken by people whose work requires increased concentration, for example, if a child plays sports.
If suprastin is ineffective, it is recommended to take loratadine. It is taken 1 tablet per day, since it is a prolonged-action drug. It has a therapeutic effect for 24 hours. It is not recommended to exceed the dosage, since severe intoxication may develop, which will only aggravate the pathology and increase the release of purulent exudate.
The child's eyes are very purulent due to sinusitis
Sinusitis is a serious disease that is treated only according to the doctor's prescription. Pus in the eyes is a consequence of sinusitis, since this disease is accompanied by the accumulation of pus in the maxillary sinuses.
Most often, antibiotic therapy is used for treatment. Zinc ointment may be recommended locally to lubricate the maxillary sinus and nasal septum. This relieves inflammation and reduces the amount of purulent exudate. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the skin, rubbing thoroughly. Leave on the skin until completely absorbed. Various homeopathic remedies and folk recipes can also be used.
The child's eye has been festering since birth
There may be many reasons. Without diagnostics, it is impossible to determine the exact cause. Therefore, you need to see a doctor who will conduct a series of laboratory and instrumental tests and make a diagnosis. Then treatment will be prescribed, which will help eliminate the disease.
It is important to exclude entropion, that is, inversion of the eyelid, which also causes inflammation in the eyes due to the fact that the inverted eyelid constantly irritates the mucous membrane of the eye, causing inflammation and pus. In such a case, a surgical operation, blepharoplasty, is usually performed.
The child's eyes are very purulent
One of the most likely causes is a bacterial infection. However, this is not the only reason. Therefore, it is necessary to consult a doctor and undergo diagnostics, on the basis of which the appropriate treatment will be selected.
Doctors most often prescribe antibiotics in such cases. It is recommended to take broad-spectrum antibiotics. For example, ciprofloxacin will quickly eliminate the bacterial infection, as a result, the amount of pus will decrease sharply. It is recommended to take 1 tablet (500 mg) once for three days.
It is necessary to take precautions: complete the full course. This applies to antibiotic therapy in general and does not depend on where exactly the inflammatory process is localized. This is due to the fact that bacteria may not be completely killed, as a result of which they will acquire resistance, and the pathological process will only intensify. The danger is that the pus can spread to the other eye, as well as to other parts of the body.
The child's eyes often fester
There may be many reasons, so you need to see a doctor. It is also necessary to take into account that the occurrence of any infectious and inflammatory diseases is associated with a decrease in immunity. Therefore, it is important to review your diet and daily routine. If any discharge appears, including from the eyes, you need to take vitamins, since most of them are directly or indirectly associated with a violation of vitamin metabolism and their deficiency in the body. It is recommended to take vitamins in the following daily concentrations:
- Vitamin PP – 60 mg
- Vitamin A – 240 mg
- Vitamin E – 45 mg
- Vitamin C – 1000 mg.
Risk factors
Children with impaired microflora and reduced immunity are at risk. Against this background, the infection easily penetrates the eye and is absorbed on the mucous membranes. Gradually, the accumulation of metabolic products of bacterial cells occurs, dead leukocytes and bacterial cells accumulate. All this causes the inflammation to intensify and pus to appear.
The second factor that contributes to the development of purulent inflammation of the eyes are frequent colds, inflammatory diseases of the nasopharynx, pharynx. In this case, the infection often penetrates the eye through the nasolacrimal canal, or through the outer space.
When an infection penetrates the eye, its development is primarily facilitated by reduced immunity. With normal immunity, as a rule, the infection does not develop, or progresses very weakly. Risk factors include insufficient nutrition, lack of vitamins, and some nutritional factors. Overwork, lack of sleep, and nervous and mental overstrain also have a negative effect.
Pathogenesis
The pathogenesis of purulent eye diseases is based on an inflammatory process. In this case, an infection develops. Usually, the infection penetrates the eye and irritates the mucous membrane. Inflammation develops, purulent exudate arrives, which is represented by particles of dead leukocytes and bacterial cells. The release of pus is also accompanied by a change in local immunity.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of purulent discharge are itching, redness, and burning in the eye area. Also often observed is the discharge of a white-yellow substance from the eye, thick or mushy consistency. This is pus. It can have a specific, very unpleasant smell.
The harbingers of the imminent appearance of purulent discharge from the eye are considered to be a decrease in visual acuity, itching, burning and pain in the eye area, redness. Often all this is accompanied by abundant lacrimation. The mucous membrane of the eye first becomes overdried, then redness appears, the blood vessels on the eyeball become clearly visible. Gradually, white discharge appears. They can be flaky. If the situation worsens or there is no adequate treatment, the infection quickly affects the second eye, and also spreads through the nasolacrimal canal to neighboring organs: the nasopharynx, pharynx, respiratory tract. Usually the disease progresses quite quickly, so both eyes are affected.
Consequences and complications
If pus in the eyes is not treated, many complications and negative consequences may develop. Often, lacrimation develops, which gradually leads to inflammation of the mucous membrane and decreased vision. Often, this develops against the background of severe edema. Severe edema of the eyelids appears, which presses on the lacrimal canal. This contributes to increased lacrimation. If lacrimation is not stopped in time, the lacrimal canal narrows. This leads to the formation of a scar, which also puts pressure on the surrounding tissues. All this leads to the fact that metabolic processes are disrupted. This only aggravates the situation and contributes to decreased vision, disruption of other basic functions.
Complications often include lacrimation, inflammation, and circulatory failure. These problems often lead to dry eyes. In most cases, this is due to the individual characteristics of a person, the state of his local immunity. The state of local immunity is determined by the ability to produce immunoglobulin A. A decrease in immunoglobulin A contributes to a decrease in the functional state of the mucous membranes. Its additional stimulation ensures an increase in the functional characteristics of the mucous membranes, stimulating local immunity.
Lacrimation and inflammatory processes often lead to decreased vision. Decreased vision can also be a consequence of insufficient eye moisture.
Complications also include conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, metabolic disorders of the eye, and severe damage to the mucous membrane of the eye. One of the complications may be drooping eyelids and eyelid edema.
Diagnostics
For diagnosis, you need to see a doctor. Usually, if a child's eyes are festering, a visual examination by an ophthalmologist is sufficient, who will quickly diagnose purulent exudate based on external signs and notice the progress of an inflammatory or infectious process. If necessary, an examination of the fundus is performed using special equipment. A visual acuity test may also be required. Laboratory tests are rarely needed. But in some cases, they can also be informative (mainly when making a differential diagnosis).
Tests
If the eyes are festering, a number of tests can be performed, in particular, a blood test. Tests of eye fluid, tear fluid, are rarely performed, since it is difficult to collect material, and this method is irrational. A blood test can be much more informative.
This is, first of all, a general blood test (clinical analysis): it shows the essence of the main reactions occurring in the body. It is possible to determine the general direction of pathological phenomena occurring in the body. The presence of inflammatory processes, an infectious process can also be diagnosed by a blood test. In particular, a decrease in the number of leukocytes may indicate the development of an inflammatory process.
If the inflammation in the eyes is of allergic origin, this may be indicated by an increased number of eosinophils in the blood. Also, the number of eosinophils may increase if a person develops eye dystrophy. Eosinophilia may indicate the development of parasitic and latent infections.
The number of platelets can provide certain information. They indicate the state of the circulatory system, the characteristics of blood coagulation, can indicate hidden bleeding and the presence of an active inflammatory process.
Sometimes they resort to conducting bacteriological studies. This is especially relevant if the child is suspected of having conjunctivitis of bacterial origin. A smear is taken from the inner side of the eyelid. Sometimes tear fluid is used as a research material. The goal is to determine the causative agent of the disease and determine the predominant composition of the microflora. It is also possible to detect the presence of a chronic infection.
If necessary, together with the bacteriological study, an antibiotic sensitivity test is performed, which makes it possible to select the optimal antimicrobial agent, antiseptic eye drops that will have the greatest effect on the isolated pathogen. The required dosage of the drug is also determined.
Hormonal analysis may be required, since the condition of the mucous membrane of the eye depends on the concentration of hormones in the body. Hormones also determine the condition of other mucous membranes and skin. If hormonal imbalance is detected, corrective therapy is prescribed.
Instrumental diagnostics
When conducting diagnostics, instrumental methods are insignificant. An examination of the fundus is used with the help of special equipment. This method allows assessing the condition of the eyeball, its fundus, retina, blood and nerve vessels. Vision testing methods are also used.
Differential diagnostics
First of all, it is necessary to differentiate the disease that caused the appearance of pus. It is important to determine whether pus is an independent disease or one of the symptoms of another disease.
It is necessary to differentiate the disease from entropion, in which the eyelid turns inward, as well as from conjunctivitis, in which the mucous membrane of the eye becomes inflamed.
Prevention
First of all, you need to prevent infection from getting into the eye. So, infection can penetrate internally, so you need to normalize the microflora, eliminate internal infection. You need to make sure that the immune system is normal. Secondly, you need to follow the rules of hygiene, since infection can also penetrate the eye externally, from the environment.
For prevention, it is important to take vitamins, eat right, and take timely measures when any infectious or inflammatory diseases occur.
Forecast
If a child's eyes are festering, it is necessary to take the necessary therapeutic measures as quickly as possible. To do this, you need to see a doctor in a timely manner. If the treatment is followed, the prognosis will be quite favorable, the disease is completely cured. If the doctor's recommendations are not followed, a number of serious complications may develop, and the prognosis will be unfavorable.
