  • filiform - oblong formations (5-6mm) on the leg. Localized on the face, neck, armpits, under the mammary glands in women;
  • genital warts appearing on the mucous membranes of the mouth, genitals, around the anus;
  • dry corns;
  • keratomas due to age-related changes in the epidermis.

Release form

The tool is produced in the form of an oily solution, poured into a dark bottle equipped with an applicator, weight 2 g. 

Pharmacodynamics

The pharmacological action of verrucacid is cauterizing, it is carried out due to coagulation (coagulation) of skin proteins. The mummification of the formations takes place, and then the crusts fall off and the center of pathology heals.

Pharmacokinetics

Active substances have a local effect, without entering the systemic circulation.

Dosing and administration

To minimize side effects, the application of the liquid is carried out using a special applicator or a thin stick. Formations with a diameter of up to 2 mm are processed once, the warts are slightly larger, keratomas and dry calluses - 3-4 times, allowing the preparation to dry, plantar and on the hands - 7-10 times every 3-4 minutes. This procedure is performed once a week until the lesion disappears, after a maximum of 6 weeks.[5]

Too keratinized neoplasms before using verrucacid should be prepared as follows: lubricate with salicylic ointment or another with keratolic effect, apply compress paper on top, cover with a plaster or wrap with a bandage. After a few hours to remove, steam the skin in hot water with soda and detergent, cut off the stratum corneum, and dry with a towel.

To prevent burns around the treated area, it is smeared with zinc ointment. [6]  Genital warts are not recommended to be removed independently, but in the treatment room.

Repeat the procedure if necessary, carry out no earlier than a week.

Their total number can be 4-5.

For children under 7 years old werrukacid does not apply.

Use Verrukacida during pregnancy

Contraindications

Verrukacid is not used to remove moles (pigmented nevi), warts on the mucous, red border of the lips, with large placers of tubercles (more than 20 cm). Other contraindications are hypersensitivity to its components, as well as younger children.

Drug with careless use and contact with healthy skin can cause a burn. To prevent this from happening, the liquid is immediately cleaned, and the surface is wiped with alcohol-containing solutions. Allergic manifestations are also possible: rash, redness, edema.

Substances that are part of the Verrucacid, easily dissolved in ointments, so do not need to use any of them before treatment with the drug.

Storage conditions

The bottle is stored in a cardboard box in which it is sold, the temperature of the room should not exceed + 25 ° C, and the place should be inaccessible to children and out of direct sunlight.

Shelf life

The shelf life of the drug is 5 years from the date of manufacture.
