Release form

Uregit has the appearance of round flattened light tablets, with a metering notch and the inscription UREGYT.

The cardboard bundle contains two blister plates, 10 pieces each. Tablets in each plate.

One tablet is 50 mg of ethacrynic acid.

Pharmacodynamics

The main ingredient of the drug Ureit is ethacrynic acid, which refers to powerful diuretic fast-acting drugs. The drug blocks the active chlorides and, accordingly, the sodium transport in the ascending section of the Henle loop.

Diuretic effects Ureitis significantly exceeds the effect of the use of certain thiazide drugs. In addition, the drug Ureit almost does not have a diabetic effect.

Pharmacokinetics

Uregit shows its effect after half an hour or an hour after the use of tablets.

Dosing and administration

At the beginning of therapy it is recommended to use the minimum amount of Ureit - from 25 to 50 mg (half or whole tablet). Uregit is drunk with morning meals, or immediately afterwards. The initial amount of medication can be gradually increased by 25 mg. It is best to do this once every 2-3 days.

Standard maintenance treatment is performed using 25-200 mg Ureit per day. In rare cases, the dose may be increased to the maximum allowable, which is 400 mg.

Any daily amount of the drug, exceeding 50 mg, should be taken in two ways - during breakfast and during dinner.

It should be borne in mind that elderly patients may receive enough of the minimum amount of Ureit.

Use of the uregit during pregnancy

It is forbidden to take Uregit for women at any gestation period, or when nursing a baby.

Uregit is able to provoke the development of hypovolemia, increase the viscosity of the blood, which in general will negatively affect the quality of the placental circulation.

Contraindications

- indigestion (acute profuse diarrhea), loss of appetite, abdominal pain, pancreatitis;

- restlessness, pain in the head, dizziness, numbness of the limbs;

- ringing in the ears, hearing impairment.

 With the appearance of severe side symptoms in some cases, there is a need for urgent abolition of Uregit.

The following side effects are less common:

  • allergy, exacerbation of gout;
  • hyperglycemia;
  • febrile conditions, the appearance of blood in the urine, gastric bleeding, emaciation;
  • insufficiency of hepatic function;
  • pancreatitis.

Overdose

Taking excessive amounts of Uregit may trigger an increase in urine output up to the disruption of electrolytic exchange, dehydration, and hepatic coma. Dehydration is manifested by such symptoms as a drop in blood pressure, an exacerbation of the facial features, a violation of the heart rhythm.

Antidote, as such, does not exist.

If you suspect an overdose, you should provoke a vomiting reflex and clean the stomach as soon as possible. Further treatment is prescribed depending on the symptoms.

In severe cases, with breathing disorders, oxygen therapy is carried out, IVL.

Interactions with other drugs

Ureet and ethyl alcohol: possibly excessive lowering of blood pressure and increased diuresis.

Uregit and ACE inhibitors: possibly a sharp drop in blood pressure.

Ureit and anticoagulant drugs: may increase the effect of anticoagulant.

Ureitis and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: it is possible to counteract the diuretic effect.

Ureet and antibiotics: increases the ototoxic property of aminoglycoside and individual cephalosporin drugs.

Ureit and lithium preparations: may increase the toxic effect of lithium.

Uregit and corticosteroids: the risk of developing gastrointestinal bleeding increases.

Uregit and digitalis preparations: the toxic effect of digitalis increases.

Uregit and oral preparations for the treatment of diabetes: the effect of the latter is reduced.

Uregit and Indomethacin: the diuretic effect worsens.
