Release form

Uretop is an ointment preparation for external use, of homogeneous consistency, white in color.

The main ingredient is urea, the content of which in 1 g of the drug is 120 mg.

Uretop is produced in tubes of 50g or 100g. Each tube is packed in a cardboard box, along with medical instructions.

Pharmacodynamics

Concentrated external urea-based products are very often used in dermatological practice. The main reason for this is the keratoplastic properties of this substance. In addition, urea in the ointment preparation Uretop increases the moisture content in the epidermal layers of human skin.

Uretop is an excellent and natural moisturizing preparation that improves the processes of fluid binding in the outer skin and reduces moisture loss.

The effect of applying such products has long been discovered - in particular, in ichthyosis, psoriasis, as well as increased dryness and sensitivity of the skin. The active substance of Uretop - urea - has a small molecular weight, which allows the drug to be well absorbed into the layers of the skin. Along with moisturizing properties, the ointment has a high-quality keratolytic effect, which helps make the skin soft and clean.

Pharmacokinetics

The ointment preparation Uretop is able to retain urea in the ointment distribution zone. Thus, Uretop practically does not enter the systemic circulation. The absorbed active ingredient leaves the body with urine and in small volumes – with sweat gland secretions.

Dosing and administration

Uretop - external ointment - is intensively rubbed in and distributed over the affected skin surface up to 2 times a day. Duration of therapy - until the painful symptoms subside.

The skin should be cleaned and dried before applying the ointment. If the doctor deems it necessary, he may prescribe the application of Ureotop under a bandage.

As a rule, treatment lasts no more than 2 or 3 weeks.

Ureotop is not used in pediatrics.
