Before you begin to eliminate the cause of white discharge in men, you need to undergo a comprehensive diagnosis. After the doctor identifies the nosology and establishes the type of pathogen, a treatment plan is drawn up.

The main goals of treatment are:

  • Relief of clinical symptoms.
  • Reduction in the frequency of relapses.
  • Prevention of complications.
  • Reducing the risk of infection of a sexual partner.
  • Improving the patient's quality of life.

Most diseases are treated with broad-spectrum antibacterial drugs. After determining the sensitivity of the microflora, the patient is prescribed a drug to which the pathogen is less resistant.

If the cause of white exudate from the penis is intracellular bacteria, then the man is prescribed medications that can penetrate into cellular structures to combat parasites. For fungal infections, antifungal drugs are used, both for external and internal use. If the discharge occurs with severe pain, then non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and painkillers are used.

The therapy may also include physiotherapy procedures aimed at stimulating local immunity. Vitamins and minerals are taken to increase the body's defenses. Particular attention is paid to preventive measures, the main goal of which is to prevent the recurrence of the problem or its complications.

Drug treatment

The method of treating white discharge in men directly depends on the cause of its origin. Only after establishing the factors of the appearance of pathological exudate, the doctor makes a treatment plan and prescribes medications.

Vitamins

Deficiency of nutrients in the body has a negative impact on the immune system, reduces its protective properties. And this can be one of the possible reasons for the appearance of white exudate from the penis in men.

To maintain immunity and speed up the recovery process, it is recommended to take the following medications:

  • Vitamin A – stimulates the production of testosterone (male hormone), which has a beneficial effect on potency and the quality of seminal fluid. Retinol is found in carrots, eggs, dairy products, fish, and offal.
  • B vitamins – B1 is necessary for metabolic processes, B2 takes part in the transfer of oxygen molecules to tissues, stimulating metabolism. B6 is necessary for normal brain function, during stress and other factors that negatively affect the central nervous system. B9 is the main element on which the quality of sperm depends. Folic acid also takes part in the synthesis of DNA and RNA molecules, improves the structure of spermatozoa. B12 stimulates metabolic processes and controls the process of cell division.
  • Vitamin C – has antioxidant properties, fights the negative impact of stress factors on the body. Ascorbic acid is especially important for men with nicotine and alcohol addiction. The vitamin maintains healthy blood vessels, prevents the development of cardiovascular pathologies, improves the condition of the skin, joints and cartilage.
  • Vitamin D – necessary for the absorption of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Supports the functions of the heart muscle and brain.
  • Vitamin E – stimulates testosterone production, affects sexual functions. Prevents vascular fragility, slows down the aging process, removes cholesterol.
  • Vitamin H – takes part in carbohydrate-fat metabolism, improves the structure of the dermis, nails and hair.
  • Vitamin N – affects the thyroid gland, supports healthy functioning of the liver, hearing and vision. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, it protects the body from radiation and heavy metals.
  • Vitamin PP – takes part in the oxidation-reduction processes of the body. Without nicotinic acid, hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, insulin, cortisone, thyroxine, progesterone cannot be formed.

In order for vitamins to bring maximum benefit, the man’s age should be taken into account:

  1. 20-40 years – retinol, B vitamins, tocopherol, PP, ascorbic acid, as well as lecithin, vitamin N and essential phospholipids.
  2. 40-55 years old – for men of this age, antioxidant substances and preparations that support the health of the cardiovascular system are important. It is recommended to take vitamins A, C, E, B.

3. Over 55 years old – at this age, the ability to produce vitamin D decreases, so you should take care of additional sources of its intake. To slow down the aging process and maintain the health of the reproductive system, vitamins A, E, C, B12, N are necessary.

In addition to vitamins, the male body should also receive minerals: zinc, calcium, copper, chromium, magnesium, selenium, potassium, iron, iodine. Useful micro and macro elements, vitamins and minerals should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor.

Physiotherapy treatment

Physiotherapy is an auxiliary treatment method for the appearance of pathological discharge from the genitals. It is indicated if the unpleasant symptom is caused by inflammatory processes in the body (urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, inflammation of the prostate gland, etc.).

Benefits of physiotherapy:

  • Destroys pathogenic flora.
  • Promotes relaxation of the muscles of the urethra.
  • Triggers local immune processes.
  • Reduces the activity of the inflammatory process.
  • Reduces/relieves painful symptoms.

The main types of physiotherapy procedures:

  1. Electrophoresis with the use of antibacterial drugs and medicines with uroantiseptic properties. Medicines are administered by means of electric current, due to which the concentration of the active substance in the lesion increases by 1.5-2 times.
  2. Laser therapy with infrared radiation – during the procedure, the beam is directed at the anterior abdominal wall of the urethra. Intracavitary laser irradiation is also possible. The treatment course consists of ten procedures, the duration of which is 3-5 minutes.
  3. UHF therapy – relieves spasms of the genital muscles, is effective in chronic inflammatory processes in the urethra and in advanced diseases of the genitourinary system, that is, secondary immunodeficiency.
  4. Thermomagnetic therapy – warming up areas of inflammation, sanitizing the urogenital area, increasing the effectiveness of drug therapy.
  5. Ozone therapy – destroys pathogenic microorganisms, viruses and bacteria.
  6. Intravenous laser irradiation of blood – removes tissue swelling, has an antibacterial effect, and relieves pain. This method of physiotherapy is especially effective in the allergic form of urethritis.

Despite all the beneficial properties, physiotherapy treatment is contraindicated in the case of structures (narrowing) of the urethra, as well as in the presence of malignant neoplasms.

Folk remedies

This type of therapy is related to non-traditional treatment methods. Most of the remedies are based on the use of medicinal plants and various recipes of traditional medicine.

  • If the white discharge is caused by a fungal infection, then decoctions based on chamomile and calendula are used as an auxiliary treatment method. 2 tablespoons of dry raw materials are poured with 500 ml of boiling water and infused for 40 minutes. The liquid is filtered and used to wash the genitals 2-3 times a day.
  • Baking soda has antiseptic properties. Dissolve a teaspoon of soda powder in a liter of water and wash the affected genitals.
  • Mix 10 tablespoons of lemon juice, 5 tablespoons of honey and onion juice. Take this mixture orally, 2-3 times a day. The remedy helps strengthen the immune system.
  • Tea tree oil has disinfectant, antiseptic and wound-healing properties. Apply 2-3 drops of oil to the head of the penis and the affected foreskin.
  • To combat infection, you can use eucalyptus-based compresses. Take three tablespoons of raw material and pour 3 cups of boiling water, let it brew for 30 minutes. Strain the finished product and use for compresses.

Before using the above recipes, you should consult with your doctor and make sure there are no contraindications.

Herbal treatment

Medicinal plants are used in the treatment of many diseases, including inflammatory processes in the genitourinary system, fungal and infectious invasions. Herbal preparations are taken internally and used for external treatment of affected tissues.

  • The following plants have pronounced antiseptic properties: chamomile, oak bark, plantain, sage, and succession. Take one of the herbs and make an infusion from it (1 tbsp. of dry raw material per 100 ml of boiling water). As soon as the liquid cools, it should be filtered and used for applications, compresses, and washing the affected organ. The infusion can be poured into a glass and the penis with an open head immersed in it. The duration of this procedure is 10-20 minutes, 4-6 times a day for 5 days.
  • If, in addition to pathological exudate, there are ulcers and erosions on the genital organ, then a special oil will help to speed up their healing. Take 1 tbsp. of calendula flowers and pour 80 ml of olive oil. The product is infused for 21 days in a dark place and used to treat the affected tissues.
  • To cleanse the urinary tract from bacterial flora, you can use preparations based on the leaves of bearberry. The plant has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. Pour 500 ml of boiling water over 2 tbsp of the herb, strain after cooling, and take 100 ml 2-4 times a day.
  • If white discharge is associated with inflammation of the bladder or urethra, then decoctions of horsetail will help. Pour 500 ml of water over two tablespoons of the herb and simmer until boiling. After cooling, strain and take 50-100 ml 2-3 times a day. The decoction has a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect. It also prevents the formation of stones in the genitourinary system.

Before using the above recipes, you must obtain a doctor's permission to use them and make sure that there are no allergic reactions to the selected herbs.

Homeopathy

Another alternative method of treating pathological discharge in men is homeopathy. Most often, homeopathic remedies are used if the unpleasant symptom is caused by inflammation of the urinary tract and kidneys, activation of opportunistic flora. Thus, the following drugs are effective for urethritis and candidiasis:

  • Berberis – tendency to form stones, stabbing pains, burning in the groin. Discomfort in the hips and lower back when urinating. Urine is deep yellow or reddish with white impurities.
  • Borax – this remedy is effective for fungal lesions of the mucous membrane after long-term drug therapy. The patient often experiences false urges to urinate, a feeling of hot urine, pain in the urethra.
  • Cannabissativa – has a pronounced effect on the urinary and genital tracts, can be used in the treatment of gonorrhea. The patient experiences frequent urges to urinate, burning and itching during the process, bifurcation of the urine stream. The fluid excreted by the kidneys is cloudy, with an admixture of mucopurulent flakes.
  • Equisetum – has a beneficial effect on the genitourinary system. The main symptoms for using the drug include: pain in the kidneys, ureters and bladder. Urination does not bring relief, there is a large amount of white impurities, mucus and protein in the urine.
  • Mercuriussolubilis is a broad-spectrum drug. It is prescribed for urological inflammation with a tendency to suppuration. The urine analysis shows an increased number of leukocytes. There are abundant white mucous discharges, the urine is cloudy. When urinating, there are painful sensations, burning, and a pulsating sensation.

All of the above medications can only be taken as prescribed by a doctor. To select an effective medication, a homeopathic doctor studies the patient's medical history, symptoms, and other characteristics of the body. The doctor also gives recommendations on the frequency of taking medications and the total duration of therapy.
