Antibiotics are ineffective against tick-borne encephalitis. As an etiotropic treatment in the early stages of the disease, specific human immunoglobulin is administered at a rate of 0.5 ml/kg per day for 2-3 days. Dehydration (25% magnesium sulfate solution, mannitol, lasix, 20% glucose solution, etc.) and detoxification (reamberin solution, rheopolyglucin, albumin) are carried out.

Syndromic and symptomatic therapy are widely used. There is data on a good effect when including the polyenzyme drug Wobenzym in complex therapy. In severe cases, glucocorticoids are prescribed in age-appropriate doses for 5-10 days. If respiratory disorders occur, the patient is transferred to artificial ventilation.

During the convalescent period, massage, gymnastics, and physiotherapy procedures are actively used, and later, spa treatment is indicated. The literature reports that children's anaferon can be used as an emergency preventive measure against tick-borne encephalitis.
