Spring holidays are associated with renewal, new impressions that you want to recharge with after the winter period. It is in the spring season that many countries hold carnivals, festivals, and mass festive events, as if symbolizing the renewal of not only nature, but also life in general. Recently, trips to places where certain plants bloom have become incredibly popular. Flower festivals, parades, and exhibitions attract thousands of tourists and flora lovers. We offer several options for “flower” trips, when spring holidays will become truly unforgettable and impressive.

Spring holidays in Europe

It is not for nothing that Holland is called a flower paradise or the capital of flowers. On warm April days, a unique parade called Bloemencorso, which translates as a solemn procession of flowers, is held annually in Amsterdam. Of course, flowers themselves are not capable of proudly marching along the streets of Amsterdam, they are displayed in huge quantities, shown and then actually carried along the main streets of the city by proud professional florists and just amateurs, of whom there are a great many here. Amsterdam in April turns into an ocean of flowers, every little alley, every house, shop or hotel is decorated with flowers, everything is literally drowning in roses, hyacinths, peonies, gerberas, and, of course, tulips. Flower sculptures, compositions and even inscriptions appear everywhere where the gaze of a tourist, a guest of Amsterdam, can fall. A spring holiday in Amsterdam in April is simply a ton of impressions and a million photographs, at least that is how those lucky ones who have already had the pleasure of seeing Blumencorso formulate their enthusiastic reviews.

Lilies of the valley await travelers in France, where every year at the beginning of May everything is drowning in these fragile, fragrant flowers. The French celebrate May Day romantically and absolutely uniquely. The fact is that in the country the lily of the valley is a protected plant, it is listed in the Red Book. But in May, lilies of the valley are allowed to be picked, sold and simply given to anyone who wants them.

Spring holidays can be spent not only in contemplation, but also more actively, that is, by participating in a real flower battle, which takes place in May in the Spanish city of Cordoba. Las Cruces de Mayo is the name of the week of May spring holidays, which include a real battle Batalla de las Flores, when bouquets of carnations are thrown from carts and decorated carriages into the crowd, which the most dexterous spectators catch and throw back. Such throwing of flowers can hardly be called a real fight, rather it is a beautiful tradition, and the spectacle of “flying” bouquets is an impressive picture. A similar event at the end of February, and then in May, takes place in France. Residents of Toulouse happily throw bouquets of violets at each other. The fragrant, delicate flower is a symbol of the ancient French city.

Spring Holidays in Asia

Spring vacation can be planned in advance to go much further - to Japan. Spring in Japan comes earlier, it is called Haaru and is firmly associated with cherry blossoms - sakura. If you visit Japan in the period from the third decade of March to mid-April, you can see a stunning sight - pink and white clouds proudly crowning millions of cherry trees that grow literally everywhere - from parks, city streets to temple areas. It is not enough to just look at the blooming sakura, it is supposed to admire it and contemplate its transformation. This tradition is called hanami. About 20 species of sakura grow in Japan, which also have a variety of varieties. There are weeping sakura - shidarezakura, there is a cherry blossom with snow-white color - someyoshino. But the most unique, magnificent and ancient trees grow in Kyoto and Kamakura. If your spring vacation involves spending time outdoors and having great experiences, then you should consider a trip to the land of the rising sun.

Spring holidays in China – why not, especially since in spring there is a stunningly beautiful peony festival. The last ten days of April are marked by a national holiday held in Luoyang – a city famous for its flowers. More than 700 species of all kinds of plants, including flowering ones, grow in the city, but the greatest pride is the royal peony – a symbol of prosperity and happiness. Almost 70 hectares of the city park in April turns into an ocean of peonies, which are worth seeing.

Spring vacation can be a planned trip, but even if you just get out into nature and breathe in the fresh air, admire the awakening earth, you can recharge yourself with energy and positivity, because the main thing in spring is to restore your resources, both physical and spiritual.
