To prepare the solution, you will need licorice syrup. Take one tablespoon per glass of water, stir until completely dissolved, and then drink, or add an additional decoction of various herbs to it.

The syrup solution is pure, without additives, you need to drink a third of a glass 3-4 times a day. It is better to use warm water for dissolution.

If you are preparing a licorice solution with additional herbal decoctions, it is advisable to prepare (mix) a herbal decoction and a licorice syrup solution. Let's look at the basic recipes.

  • Recipe #1. Licorice and succession solution

To prepare the solution, take one teaspoon of syrup, dissolve in half a glass of warm water. Separately take 0.5 teaspoons of dry succession, mix, pour half a glass of succession, leave for half an hour. Then mix the syrup and succession decoction. Leave for half an hour, then drink 2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day.

This solution has a positive effect on the respiratory system, stimulates the secretion of mucus, expectoration. Licorice has a predominantly anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.

The succession also helps to reduce inflammation and temperature. The succession enhances the activity of licorice, promotes its influence on the immune system and the local system of non-specific resistance. In combination with the succession, this solution is an excellent vitamin remedy that saturates the body with vitamins and nutrients. With regular use, recovery occurs much faster, the risk of relapse is prevented.

  • Recipe #2. Licorice and Tartaric acid solution

To prepare the solution, dissolve a teaspoon of licorice syrup in a glass of warm water, heat until half-boiling, then add a teaspoon of tartarnik. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and cool, without allowing it to boil for long periods of time.

Licorice relieves inflammation, removes irritation, eliminates congestion. Thistle removes residual effects, prevents the possibility of relapse. Also, the advantage of adding thistle to the licorice solution is that it significantly reduces inflammation of any localization and genesis. It is used even for tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis. It is useful for people suffering from cardiovascular disorders: it balances blood pressure, has a diaphoretic, hemostatic effect.

The solution not only eliminates cough, but also stimulates the immune system, normalizes the state of the non-specific resistance system, and also improves overall well-being and normalizes metabolism.

  • Recipe #3. Licorice and creeping thyme solution

To prepare the solution, you need traditional commercial licorice syrup. Take a tablespoon of syrup, dissolve it in a glass of water, then add a teaspoon of thyme seeds and bring the mixture to a boil. Do not let it boil, but immediately remove from heat and put in a dark place, covered with a towel. Let it brew for half an hour. Then drink a tablespoon three times a day.

The advantage of a mixture of thyme and licorice is that licorice eliminates the main inflammatory process, and thyme promotes recovery after an illness, healing residual effects. Creeping thyme contains active essential oil, which helps to quickly relieve inflammation. Thyme helps relieve swelling and redness, and licorice enhances this property. Licorice also has antibacterial activity, as a result of which it kills bacterial cells. This process is accompanied by the fact that a large number of bacterial toxins are released into the body. Thyme neutralizes the effect of these toxins, thus providing an antitoxic effect.

It also has antiseptic properties, normalizes sleep, and relieves pain. It is used for various types of cough, runny nose, otitis, purulent, purulent-septic, and infectious processes. It can be used both internally and externally. For internal use, it is used in the form of a decoction, syrup, solution, or infusion. Externally, it is used as a compress, applied to the front surface of the skin (throat), as well as to the area of the shoulder blades, where the tops of the lungs are located. Sometimes this mixture is used as a poultice, added to inhalations for the nasopharynx.

Thus, licorice for cough can be used not only as a single remedy, but can also be part of complex therapy, various decoctions, infusions.
