Fitosept is used for local dental procedures. The medicine has a refreshing and disinfecting effect associated with the therapeutic properties of its components. [ 1 ]

The bioactive elements contained in the fruits of capiscum (capsaicin, as well as aromatic amine with essential oil), after local use, have a distracting and locally irritating effect, increase local blood flow and tissue hyperemia in the treatment area, and in addition, help to secrete endogenous bioactive components that have a moderate antibacterial effect. Indications Phytosept

It is used for rinsing the mouth in case of toothache or periodontal disease.

Release form

The drug is produced in the form of a mouthwash, in 0.1 l bottles.

Dosing and administration

When you have toothache or periodontal disease, you need to rinse your mouth with a diluted solution: dissolve 1 teaspoon of the medicine in warm boiled water (0.2 l).

The duration of the treatment cycle is determined taking into account the intensity of the disease, the nature of the combined treatment and the effect obtained - it is individually selected by the attending physician.

  • Application for children

The drug cannot be prescribed in pediatrics.

Use Phytosept during pregnancy

Due to the fact that Fitosept contains ethanol, it is prohibited to use it during breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Contraindications

Among the contraindications:

  • increased intolerance to the components of the medication;
  • violation of the integrity of the oral mucosa.

Side effects Phytosept

Sometimes it is possible to develop signs of allergy, drowsiness and dizziness, or irritation of the oral mucosa.

If any negative symptoms appear, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Overdose

Overdose may lead to the development of severe intolerance and potentiation of side effects.

Storage conditions

Fitosept should be stored in a place closed to small children. Temperature indicators - no more than 25 ° C.

Shelf life

Fitosept can be used within a 4-year period from the date of sale of the therapeutic substance.

Analogues of the drug are Rotokan, Stomatofit with Eucalyptus tincture, Kamident and Denta with Dentinox gel N, and also Fitodent, Maraslavin and Sage leaf.
