The preparation is able to soften the skin, improve its appearance. Protects the skin from the effects of external damaging factors: ultraviolet rays, wind, temperature changes.

Release form
Vaseline is produced in the form of an external ointment, available in aluminum tubes or plastic containers of 25g, 30g, 40g and 50g.
The ointment-like substance has a uniform consistency, a light yellowish or whitish hue, and no specific odor.

Pharmacodynamics
Vaseline is one of the preparations of white soft paraffin, a hard and soft carbohydrate mixture that is produced from petroleum products and purified in a certain way.
The preparation helps soften the epithelial layer of the skin. It is used for local treatment: it restores the water-fat protection of the skin, prevents cell dehydration, eliminates small cracks and peeling of the skin.
Dosing and administration
Vaseline is a surface medication. Apply a small portion of the ointment to the desired area of the skin and then gently rub in. The medication is also used for compresses.
After applying the preparation, it is recommended to wash your hands thoroughly. When using the product, it is advisable to protect the mucous membranes and the eye surface from getting the ointment on them.
Use Vaseline during pregnancy
Since this drug does not enter the systemic circulation, there is no danger for use of the drug by pregnant and lactating women.
Storage conditions
The drug should be stored in a dark place, preferably at a storage temperature of 10 to 15°C.

The shelf life of Vaseline is up to five years from the date of production.
