Megadin is a multivitamin preparation containing useful microelements.

Indications of the megadina

They are used to eliminate hypovitaminosis:

  • in the period before or after surgical operations;
  • at illnesses and at a stage of convalescence;
  • in the case of a disorder of digestion processes in the gastrointestinal tract: problems with nutritional function and intestinal mucosa, and in addition chronic diarrhea, pancreatic insufficiency and liver failure;
  • to make up for the balance of vitamins in case of their increased loss (for example, with frequent use of alcoholic beverages);
  • for burns with a severe degree.

Release form

Release of the drug is carried out in tablets, in an amount of 10 pieces inside the blister plate. In a pack there are 3 such plates.

Megadin Pronatal

Megadine Pronatal is used to prevent the possibility of developing a deficiency of minerals with vitamins in cases when the need for them is increased (for example, lactation or pregnancy period), but in addition to preventing the appearance of negative symptoms (due to vitamin deficiencies) at the stage of rehabilitation after prolonged and severe pathologies.

Pharmacodynamics

Megadin is a multivitamin complex medicine, which contains a balanced amount of all necessary vitamins (except K), and besides this important mineral components and microelements. The complex consists of 8 minerals, as well as 12 vitamins, which are important participants in metabolic processes.

Group of vitamins of fat-soluble type.

Retinol is a participant in the formation of visual pigments. Together with this helps to ensure the integrity of the tissues of the epithelium and bone growth.

Ergocalciferol helps to regulate the processes of phosphorus metabolism with calcium, potentiates intestinal absorption of phosphates and calcium, and besides it helps bone mineralization and formation of teeth and bones of the skeleton in a child. Together with this, the element potentiates the ossification, which is necessary for the stable operation of the parathyroid glands.

Tocopherol is a natural antioxidant. It prevents high blood turnover and positively affects the peripheral blood flow. He is a participant in protein binding and cellular growth processes, and also participates in the work of CCC, musculature of the skeleton and gonads.

Group of vitamins of water-soluble nature.

Thiamine inside the human body is transformed into an element of cocarboxylase (during phosphorylation), which is a coenzyme of many enzyme reactions. This vitamin is very important for protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism. It is a participant in all important metabolic processes inside the heart, NS, muscles and blood cells, and besides this process of transport of nervous reactions inside the synapses.

Riboflavin helps regulate oxidation-reduction processes in fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism. Provides visual acuity, helps the healing of skin cells and is a participant in hemoglobin binding processes.

Pyridoxine is essential for the stable functioning of the central nervous system and PNS. Its phosphorylated form is a coenzyme involved in the process of amino acid metabolism (such as decarboxylation or reamination, etc.). In addition, he participates in the processes of biosynthesis of neurotransmitters: norepinephrine with serotonin and adrenaline, and in addition dopamine and histamine.

Cyanocobalamin is required for normal hematopoietic function and ripening of red blood cells. In addition, it participates in individual biochemical processes, helping the vital functions of the organism (such as binding proteins and nucleic acids, transfer of methyl categories, metabolism of carbohydrates and amino acids with lipids). This component affects the processes inside the HC (binding of DNA and RNA, and in addition phospholipids and myelin with cerebrosides). Coenzyme forms of the vitamin are methylcobalamin with adenosylcobalamin (they are required for cell growth and replication).

Nicotinamide is necessary for fat metabolism, glycogenolysis and respiration processes of tissues.

Pantothenic acid is found in coenzyme A, which is an important part of oxidation with acetylation, and is also involved in the metabolism of fats with carbohydrates, as well as binding of steroid hormones and acetylcholine. The substance improves the supply of energy for contractions of the myocardium and speeds up the healing processes.

Ascorbic acid helps the binding of collagen, and at the same time participates in the processes of iron and folate metabolism. It is also important in binding catecholamines to steroid hormones.

Biotin is a prosthetic group of carboxylation enzymes (the process of introducing a carboxyl group into the group). With its help, the binding of fatty acids of the higher type, and in addition of oxaloacetate, due to which it affects the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Along with this, biotin is involved in the binding of purines that enter the nucleotide compound with nucleic acids.

Folic acid is required for the healthy growth of megaloblasts and the formation of normoblasts. It stimulates the process of erythropoiesis, and also participates in the metabolism of choline and the binding of purines, amino acids and pyrimidines to nucleic acids. In pregnancy, this substance performs a protective function in relation to the fetus, not allowing it to be exposed to negative factors, but also prevents placental abruption. It is very important for the processes of maturation of spermatozoa, therefore it is often used as a preventive agent for infertility in men.

Vitamins, which are water-soluble, do not accumulate inside the body.

Minerals.

Calcium promotes the formation of bone tissue, the processes of blood circulation, the movement of nerve signals, the reduction of smooth muscles and skeletal muscles, and in addition to a stable cardiac function. In addition, it helps iron absorption.

Phosphorus together with calcium strengthens durability of a teeth with bones in which 85% of all phosphorus in an organism contain. The remaining 15% are involved in a variety of different chemical processes occurring within the body. The most important of them are protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism, energy production, and at the same time protein synthesis.

Magnesium helps in the formation of bone and muscle tissues, and in addition to the processes of protein binding.

Iron is a part of the hemoglobin molecule that participates in the movement of oxygen within the body and prevents the appearance of anemia.

Manganese helps improve bone mineralization.

Copper is required for the stable activity of erythrocytes and iron metabolism.

Zinc promotes tissue healing and is an integral part of individual hormones, among them insulin.

Molybdenum is a constituent element of a group of enzymes that participate in the detoxification of foreign components for the human body. It helps to keep fluoride inside the body, so that the appearance of caries is prevented. The most basic function of this substance is the acceleration of purine decay and the excretion of uric acid. If molybdenum enters the body in the required quantities, it acts as a prophylaxis against gout.

Dosing and administration

Adolescents from 12 years and adults need to take 1 tablet of medicine each day (along with food). It can not be chewed - you need to swallow whole and wash it with plain water.

Take Megadine is recommended for 30 days.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

  • the presence of hypersensitivity in relation to one or more elements of the drug;
  • hypervitaminosis of types A or D;
  • kidney failure;
  • hypercalcemia;
  • the period during which retinoid therapy is administered.

Side effects of the megadina

When taking recommended dosages of drugs, the development of side symptoms was not noted even if it was used for several months.

Among the violations arising from taking large portions of medicine, the following are distinguished:

  • signs of allergy: a rash on the epidermis, itching, skin hyperemia (arise in connection with the individual intolerance of the drug);
  • urine acquires a bright yellow hue (a similar reaction is harmless and arises from the presence of riboflavin in the composition of drugs);
  • feces get a darker shade (this effect is also harmless and appears due to the presence of iron in the medicine).

Overdose

To avoid intoxication, it is forbidden to combine the drug with other multivitamin preparations containing trace elements.

Interactions with other drugs

When the drug is combined with medicines containing phenytoin, bisphosphonate, and besides tetracycline with fluoroquinolone and penicillamine, a 2-hour interval between their use (due to the risk of changes in absorption) should be maintained.

Combined use with the following medicines is allowed (under the supervision of the attending physician):

  • medicines, which contain levodopa (as pyridoxine weakens its properties);
  • antagonists of folic acid (in connection with the possibility of a decrease in effectiveness);
