Indications Inspirona

It is used for the following disorders:

  • having a chronic or acute form of inflammation affecting the ENT organs and respiratory tract (bronchitis with rhinotracheobronchitis, sinusitis, runny nose with otitis, and at the same time rhinopharyngitis and tracheitis);
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases;
  • combination treatment of asthma;
  • rhinitis of allergic origin of any type and other symptoms of intolerance associated with the ENT organs and respiratory system;
  • elimination of whooping cough symptoms;
  • respiratory manifestations of influenza or measles.

Release form

The medicine is produced in tablet form, 10 pieces per blister pack. There are 3 such packs in a box.

Also available as a syrup in 0.15 l bottles; one bottle per package.

Pharmacodynamics

The therapeutic effect of Inspiron develops due to the following mechanisms of action:

  • slowing down the activity of histamine H1 endings, as well as relaxation of the smooth muscles of the bronchi;
  • anti-inflammatory effect, which helps to weaken the binding of certain anti-inflammatory elements (cytokines and TNF-a, as well as leukotrienes with free radicals, thromboxane, metabolic products of arachidonic acid and PG), which have bronchoconstrictor properties;
  • inhibition of the activity of α1-adrenergic receptors, which stimulate the production of viscous bronchial mucus.

Pharmacokinetics

Blood Cmax values are recorded after 6 hours from the moment of taking the drug.

The half-life is 12 hours. The excretion of the substance occurs mainly with urine.

Dosing and administration

The medication should be taken orally, after meals.

Schemes for using the tablet form of the drug.

In chronic forms of disorders, it is necessary to take 1 tablet of the drug 2 times a day. To potentiate the effect of the drug, or in acute forms of disorders, it is necessary to take 3 tablets of the substance 3 times a day. The duration of therapy is determined by the nature of the disease and is selected individually by the attending physician.

The regimen for taking the drug in the form of syrup.

Children over 2 years of age should take the medicine in a dose of 2 ml/kg, divided into 2-3 doses. If the child's weight is below 10 kg, 20-40 mg of the medicine should be taken per day (divided into 2-3 doses). If the weight is more than 10 kg, 60-120 mg of the substance should be taken per day (also divided into 2-3 doses).

The daily dosage for adolescents over 12 years of age and adults is 90-180 mg of the drug per day (divided into 2-3 administrations). The duration of the therapeutic cycle is selected by the doctor individually, taking into account the nature of the pathology.

1 teaspoon contains 5 ml of medicinal syrup; 1 tablespoon, respectively, contains 15 ml of the substance.

Use Inspirona during pregnancy

Inspiron should not be prescribed during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in cases of severe intolerance associated with drug components.

Side effects Inspirona

Taking the drug may cause some side effects:

  • digestive disorders: diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, digestive disorders and vomiting;
  • problems with circulatory function: sinus tachycardia, which disappears after portion adjustment;
  • lesions of the epidermis: rashes, urticaria, erythema (also pigmented), Quincke's edema and itching;
  • Symptoms from the nervous system: feeling of drowsiness;
  • systemic symptoms: feeling of fatigue or weakness.

Overdose

Taking Inspiron in large doses can cause vomiting, a feeling of excitement or drowsiness, sinus tachycardia and nausea.

Gastric lavage, an ECG procedure, and, in addition, symptomatic measures are performed.

Interactions with other drugs

Combining the medication with sedatives or alcohol-containing products is prohibited, as this may stimulate the sedative effect of H1 blockers.

Storage conditions

Inspiron should be stored in a place out of reach of small children. Temperature marks – maximum 25°C.

Shelf life

Inspiron can be used within a 24-month period from the date of release of the pharmaceutical product.

Application for children

In pediatrics, the medication is used exclusively in the form of syrup. However, the syrup is prohibited for children under 2 years of age.
