Drops are used in combination with local antimicrobial therapy - in the treatment or prevention of injuries caused by trauma (due to wounds in the eyeball, among which penetrating).

Release form

The release of the substance is carried out in the form of eye drops (0.1% liquid), inside special bottles with a capacity of 5 ml. In the box - 1 such a bottle.

Pharmacodynamics

Indocollar affects the body by slowing down the synthesis of PG, which is the main phase of inflammatory and painful pathogenesis. This occurs by lowering the activity of the COX enzyme under the influence of indomethacin.

The component indomethacin is an NSAID, which, when used locally, can reduce the intensity of inflammation and the degree of pain. Influence develops by suppressing the development and transmission of pain impulses within neural structures. Along with this, the drug weakens the binding of thromboxane in class A, which increases the duration of bleeding.

Pharmacokinetics

After instillation of the medication inside the conjunctival sac, a weak systemic absorption of the active element occurs.

Dosing and administration

To slow the miosis during the operation, it is required to instill a drop of 1 medicine into the conjunctival sac before carrying out the procedure. For a period of 2 hours before the operation, it must be repeated four times, so the intervals between instillations should be at least 30 minutes.

For the prevention of the appearance of Irvine-Gass syndrome it is required 3-4 times a day to instill on the 1st drop of drugs for 30 days after the performed operation.

With other disorders, the medication is administered in a dose of 1 drop 3-4 times a day, in the period 1-4 weeks. Duration of treatment and the sizes of portions are selected taking into account the nature of the course of the disease and the severity of the patient's condition.

Use Involve 0.1% during pregnancy

In-depth clinical trials of the drug regarding the safety of its use in pregnant or lactating mothers were not conducted.

It is allowed to use drugs during the first 5 months of pregnancy - under the supervision of the attending doctor and with the condition that possible help for a woman is much more likely than the risk of consequences for the fetus. Further, starting from the 6th month, the drug is prohibited, because its use can cause a disorder in the respiratory system, CCC and kidneys in the fetus.

Contraindications

  • combination with lithium agents or anticoagulants leads to an increase in their indirect influence;

  • simultaneous use with saluretics, β-adrenoblockers reduces the severity of their effects.

Storage conditions

Indocollar is required to be kept in a dry and dark place, closed from penetration of small children. Temperature values should not exceed 20 ° C.

Shelf life

Indocollir is allowed to be applied within 24 months from the date of release of the drug. Shelf life of the drug when the bottle is opened is 1.5 months.

Application for children

The medicine is not prescribed in pediatrics.
