Indications for ultrasound of the kidneys and ureters

  1. Pain in the kidneys or along the ureters.
  2. Suspected renal tumor (large kidney).
  3. A non-functioning kidney, according to urography.
  4. Hematuria.
  5. Chronic urinary tract infection.
  6. Injury.
  7. Suspicion of polycystic disease.
  8. Fever of unknown origin or postoperative complications.
  9. Renal failure of unknown origin.
  10. Schistosomiasis.
