Indications for ultrasound of the bladder
- Dysuria or frequent urination.
- Hematuria (wait until bleeding stops).
- Recurrent inflammation (cystitis) in adults; acute infection in children.
- Formations in the pelvis.
- Urinary retention.
- Pain in the pelvis.
Always scan both kidneys when examining the bladder.
