Release form

Release in drops for oral administration, in a 100-ml flacon. Inside the pack - 1 bottle with drops.

Pharmacodynamics

Imupret is plant-based. The components of drugs have a complex effect.

Chamomile and Altean polysaccharides provoke the nonspecific activity of the immune system, increasing the phagocytosis of granulocytes with macrophages. These elements also increase the degree of destruction of bacteria inside the cells during phagocytosis - increasing the excretion of active products of oxygen decay. The medicine has a bactericidal effect. Essential oils with polysaccharides and flavonoids (alteyne, chamomile, and also milder) reduce puffiness on the mucosa inside the respiratory system when the infection develops. In vitro tests revealed that oak bark, which contains a large amount of tannins, has antiviral properties against the influenza virus.

Horsetail, which is an integral component of drugs, potentiates the above properties due to its preventive and curative effects.

Dosing and administration

In the absence of other indications, such dosages are recommended:

  • infants 1-2 years: with acute symptoms take 5 drops 5-6 times per day; after easing acute symptoms of the disease and as a preventive agent to take 5 drops three times a day;
  • children 2-5 years: with acute symptoms - 10 drops 5-6 times a day; to prevent the onset of the disease and in the period after exacerbation - 10 drops three times a day;
  • children 6-11 years old: with acute symptoms - 15 drops 5-6 times a day; as a prophylaxis and after the easing of symptoms - 15 drops three times a day;
  • adolescents from 12 years and adults: with acute symptoms - 25 drops of 5-6 doses per day; for prevention and after the end of the exacerbation period - 25 drops three times a day.

Drops should be shaken before taking. During instillation, the bottle should be kept in an upright position. Usually the medicine is taken undiluted. Before swallowing the drop, you should hold it in the mouth for a while. If necessary, dilute the medicine with water. The children's medication is added to the tea or juice.

Even when acute manifestations of the disease disappear, it is recommended to continue the treatment course even in the period of 7 days - to prevent a possible relapse of the disease.

The medicine is well tolerated, which allows using it for a long time. With the standard treatment of pathologies in the area of the respiratory system of a chronic type (in particular, tonsillitis), it is taken at least 1.5 months.
