Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamics Ibufen is the main component of ibuprofen. It belongs to the group of non-narcotic analgesics. The drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism of action is associated with the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. This leads to a decrease in the intensity of the inflammatory process. As a consequence, body temperature is normalized, the generation of pain impulses along the nerve structures is reduced.

The drug affects prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme. It plays an important role in the metabolism of arachidonic acid and the formation of prostaglandins.

After taking the medicine, the antipyretic effect develops within 30 minutes and reaches its maximum after 3 hours. This allows the effect to be maintained for a long time. Ibuprofen is perfectly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, without causing pronounced side effects.
