Hypertrophy of the seminal tubercle is a congenital anomaly that is characterized by hyperplasia of all elements of this anatomical formation. The size of the enlarged organ is different, sometimes it almost completely encircles the lumen of the urethra.

Symptoms of the hypertrophy of the spermatic tubercle

Symptoms of hypertrophy of the seminal tubercle are similar to those in congenital sclerosis (contracture) of the neck of the bladder. In older children, a painful erection is often recorded during urination.

Diagnostics of the hypertrophy of the spermatic tubercle

Diagnosis is carried out with the help of an ascending urethrocystography, according to which in the field of the back of the urethra the filling defect is detected. With urethrocopy, hypertrophy of the seminal tubercle is detected.

When the bladder is catheterized, there is sometimes an obstruction in the back of the urethra; often this manipulation is accompanied by mild bleeding.
