Pharmacodynamics

The composition of the medicine contains various active elements that have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. The drug contains such plants as colchicum, black cohosh, spirea, white bryony and rue.

The mechanism of medicinal action is based on the synthesis of all the beneficial properties of the plants contained in the preparation.

Colchicum contains such components as phytosterols and colchamine with colchicine. They cause the development of an anti-inflammatory effect in gout or rheumatism.

The tannins and alkaloids contained in black cohosh have a weak antipyretic effect.

Spiraea contains salicylic and carboxylic acids, which provide antipyretic and analgesic effects.

Bryonia alba contains such elements as brionin with bitter glycosides, and in addition, oleic and stearic oils - together with the alkaloids of fragrant rue, they enhance the anti-inflammatory effect of Homvio-Revman.

Along with this, the drug can reduce blood uric acid levels, which increases its effectiveness in the treatment of gout.

The drug has a suppressive effect on the processes of formation of IL-1 and IL-6 elements, and in addition to this, TNF (the so-called tumor necrotic factor). This combination of active substances can also block the mitotic activity of fibroblasts with neutrophils and lymphocytes, preventing the possibility of destruction of cartilage tissue.

Dosing and administration

When treating chronic diseases, it is often prescribed to take 5-10 drops 1-3 times a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 15 drops (three times a day). The duration of the treatment cycle is selected for each patient individually, but it must be at least 1 month.

When treating diseases that have an acute form, it is prescribed to take 5-10 drops of the drug at intervals of 30 minutes (the total number of doses per day is 12).

The drops should be taken 30 minutes before meals.
