Release form

It is released in the form of a gel, in a 10 g tube. The package contains 1 such tube.

Pharmacodynamics

Choleset is a medicinal product with a combined composition of elements and a complex effect.

Choline salicylate has pronounced analgesic properties, which appear a short time after the gel is applied to the oral mucosa. This component exhibits antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antimycotic effects. The medicinal effect lasts for 2-3 hours.

Cetalkonium chloride is an ammonium compound that prevents the growth of gram-negative and gram-positive microbes, and at the same time has an antimycotic effect. It does not have an irritating effect on tissues.

Pharmacokinetics

Choline salicylate is absorbed fairly quickly through the oral mucosa. The component penetrates into the nerve receptors.

Dosing and administration

It is necessary to treat the affected area of the oral mucosa with a strip of gel no larger than 1 cm. The procedure should be carried out 3-4 times a day. The gel should be applied with a finger (you should wash your hands first), while massaging the treatment area a little. After treatment with the gel, you should refrain from rinsing the mouth, drinking or eating, and brushing your teeth for at least 1 hour.

During therapy for periodontal pathologies, the medicine is placed inside the gum pockets or used for compresses. It can also be rubbed into the gums (1-2 procedures per day).

The duration of the therapeutic course is determined by the doctor, taking into account the clinical picture.
