Heparil
Medical expert of the article
Last reviewed: 04.07.2025

Heparil has an intense anticoagulant and antithrombotic effect, demonstrates anti-edematous activity, reduces inflammation and helps heal connective tissues.
The anticoagulant effect develops with a direct effect on the blood coagulation system, by forming a compound with antithrombin-3, which synthesizes intraplasmic coagulation factors. The substance stimulates metabolism, tissue epithelialization and granulation. The intensity of the medicinal effect of the gel significantly exceeds the effect of ointments - because the gel can penetrate deeper into the tissues.

Indications Heparil
It is used for diseases affecting superficial veins, such as varicose veins (and its complications), thrombophlebitis with phlebothrombosis, and superficial periphlebitis.
Can be used for postoperative varicose phlebitis and complications associated with surgical removal of subcutaneous veins in the legs.
It is prescribed in case of localized swelling, infiltrates, bruises with injuries, and subcutaneous hematomas. Together with this, it is used in case of sprains or injuries affecting the capsule-ligament and muscle-tendon structures.
Release form
The medicinal component is released in the form of a gel, inside tubes with a capacity of 40 g. There is 1 tube in a box.
Pharmacokinetics
Heparin is determined in blood plasma for 24 hours from the moment of using the drug; Cmax heparin values are noted after 8 hours. After external treatment, the gel does not cause the development of systemic effects.
After absorption of the substance, it undergoes intrahepatic and reticuloendothelial biotransformation. Intraplasmic protein synthesis is 95%.
The half-life is 1-1.5 hours. Excretion is via the kidneys.
Dosing and administration
The medicine is used 1-3 times a day. The affected area is treated with gel (3-10 cm), gently rubbing it in. The duration of therapy is selected individually (this is done by the attending physician), taking into account the intensity of the pathology.
The applied substance is completely absorbed through the epidermis after 1.5-2 minutes, leaving no stains.
