Heparoid Zentiva

Heparoid Zentiva contains a high-molecular combination of heparinoid, which has antithrombotic activity, as well as moderate antiexudative and anti-inflammatory effects.

Heparinoid has a lipolytic and anticoagulant effect, which develops when lipoprotein lipase is activated, breaking down lipoprotein fatty acids. In the area of injury or inflammation, the drug reduces the formation of blood clots, increases the rate of hematoma resorption, and weakens the swelling (reduces the feeling of tension and also reduces pain).

Indications Heparoida zentiva

It is used in the following situations:

• treatment of inflammation in the area of superficial veins (for example, external thrombophlebitis );
• treatment of inflamed areas around veins (for example, with periphlebitis);
• softening of hardened epidermis in case of chronic venous insufficiency;
• for inflammation affecting tendons (for example, tendovaginitis);
• in case of dislocations or contusions and hematomas or swellings that appear after injuries;
• improvement of wound healing processes after operations or injuries;
• therapy of fresh scars (convex) or keloids.

Release form

The medicine is released in the form of an ointment - 30 g inside a tube. In a pack - 1 tube.

Dosing and administration

The ointment (a layer of about 1 mm) must be applied to the affected area and the area around it, rubbing it into the epidermis. The procedure is performed 2-3 times a day.

Therapy usually lasts 7-14 days.

In case of vein lesions, a special venous bandage can be applied to them. In case of painful and too strong bleeding in the area treated with ointment, it is allowed to close it with an airtight bandage (it is recommended to do this at night). If there is a varicose ulcer, the area around the lesion is treated with the medicine.

Use Heparoida zentiva during pregnancy

During breastfeeding or pregnancy, the medication is prescribed only for a short time if there are strict indications. It is completely forbidden to use the ointment in the 3rd trimester, because it can affect the birth process (the likelihood of bleeding increases).

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

• severe intolerance associated with heparinoid and other elements of the medicinal substance;
• hemophilia;
• diathesis of a hemorrhagic nature;
• thrombocytopenia or various types of purpura;
• various conditions that increase the tendency to develop bleeding.

Side effects Heparoida zentiva

In general, the use of the ointment proceeds without complications. Only occasionally does a slight epidermal irritation (redness) appear, which disappears on its own after some time.

During the course of therapy, symptoms of intolerance to individual components of the drug may appear. Such disorders include redness, burning, itching, swelling, rash and hemorrhages. Small blisters or pustules, as well as blisters, sometimes appear. Treatment of large body surfaces may lead to systemic adverse effects.

Overdose

If the ointment is accidentally swallowed, vomiting with nausea may occur. Gastric lavage is required. Then symptomatic treatment procedures are performed.

Interactions with other drugs

Heparoid Zentiva is prohibited to be combined with certain medications for local treatment - such as those containing hydrocortisone, tetracycline or salicylic acid.

Storage conditions

Geparoid zentiva must be stored in a place closed to children and moisture. Temperature marks - in the range of 10-25 ° C.

Shelf life

Heparoid Zentiva can be used for a period of 3 years from the date of sale of the drug.

Application for children

It is prohibited to use Heparoid Zentiva in children under 14 years of age.
