Hayes-steril 10% is a transparent solution, which includes: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, hydroxyethyl, starch, water for injection and other components. Indications Hayes-steril 10%

Indications for use of Haes-steril 10% are directly related to the pharmacotherapeutic group of the drug. Let's consider the main indications for the use of this drug.

  • Prevention and treatment of hypovolemia and hemorrhagic shock during surgical interventions.
  • Treatment of traumatic injuries, traumatic shock.
  • Burn infections and burn shock, septic infections.
  • Normovolemic (acute) hemodilution during surgical interventions to reduce the introduction of donor blood.
  • Prevention of hemodilution for therapeutic purposes.

Release form

The drug is available in glass and plastic bottles of 500 ml and 250 ml with 10% and 6% infusion solution. The drug is sold individually or in 10 bottles per package. Plastic bottles are preferred because they do not require special transportation rules and are less susceptible to damage, which cannot be said about glass bottles with Haes-steril 10%.

Transparent vials with the preparation allow you to clearly see the solution. Thus, in case of non-compliance with storage conditions or expiration of the shelf life, small flakes may appear in the solution of Haes-steril 10%, and the preparation itself may change its color or become cloudy.

Pharmacodynamics

Pharmacodynamics of Haes-steril 10% allows you to learn how the drug behaves after entering the body and how the active substances of the drug work. The active substance of Haes-steril 10% is an artificial colloid hydroxyethyl starch, which is obtained from amylopectin. The average molecular weight of the substance is 200 thousand Daltons, and the substitution is 0.5. Such data indicate that the glucose residues of the drug account for hydroxyl groups that are close to glycogen. Due to this, the drug is well tolerated and has a low risk of developing anaphylactic reactions.
