Release form

The release of the medicinal component is implemented in tablet form, in the amount of 60 pieces inside a polypropylene jar.

Pharmacodynamics

Hepabel has a plant origin. Its therapeutic activity develops under the influence of a complex of bioactive components (such as bioflavonoids, cinnarine with glycosides, coffee, as well as chlorogenic acid, carotene with phytosterols, enzymes, terpenoids and vitamins with inulin) contained within the Spanish artichoke. The drug has hepatoprotective, diuretic, antioxidant, choleretic, detoxification and cholesterol-lowering activity.

The hypocholesterolemic effect develops when the cholesterol biosynthesis process is slowed down (by inhibiting the activity of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase).

Cinnarine, combined with phenoacids, has choleretic activity (mainly with the participation of choleretic effects). It increases the amount of secreted bile, the secretion of gallic acid salts, and in addition it prevents the probability of stagnation of bile inside the gvp and potentiates the secretion of pancreatic enzymes.

Tablets have antioxidant properties; the drug reduces lipid peroxidation by decreasing malondialdehyde.

The hepatoprotective effect develops as a result of the stabilizing effect on the walls of hepatocytes.

Dosing and administration

For adults, the serving size is 1-well pill with 3 times daily use (the medicine should be taken 20 minutes before meals). Adolescents older than 12 years of age should use a 1-well tablet 2 times a day.

The therapeutic cycle lasts 10-20 days; if necessary, the doctor may prescribe the re-treatment after 1-2 months.
