  • infected wounds after surgical procedures (abscesses with phlegmon and postoperative suppurations);
  • having a 2nd or 3rd degree burns;
  • trophic ulcers, appearing in connection with insufficiency of veins in chronic form, thrombophlebitis in the area of saphenous veins on the legs or with atherosclerosis obliterans ;
  • erysipelas of different types;
  • bedsores ;
  • weakening of the regenerative processes associated with a weakened immune system, diabetes mellitus or radiation damage;

Release form

The release of the drug is produced in the form of a powder for external treatment, in bottles with a capacity of 2 g or dropper bottles of 5 g.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug contains an aminoglycoside substance gentamicin sulfate, and in addition, an organic silicon sorbent (metoxan substance) and a coordination zinc-tryptophan bond.

Gentamicin Sulfate Element is an antibiotic with an extensive range of bactericidal activity. It demonstrates high efficiency in eliminating disease-causing Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Mycobacterium and Streptococcus) and negative bacteria (Shigella, Klebsiella, Serra, Salmonella, intestinal bacilli, and in addition, citrobacterium, Aerobacter aeruginosa, synegmic chalice, and intestinal sticks, and in addition, citrobacter, Aerobacter aeruginosa, synegna, and syephous cholori men, and intestinal sticks.

Polymethylsiloxane helps to provide a sorption-detoxification effect, and in addition, in combination with zinctryptophan, it has an antibacterial effect (for 8 days).

Genaxaxan already on the 2-3rd day reduces the number of microbes inside the wound to the extreme lower mark (101-103 per 1 g), and at the same time increases the rate of transition from the hydration stage to the dehydration stage and prevents the occurrence of suppuration. Sorption activity allows the drug to absorb toxic products of functioning of pathogenic bacteria, toxic metabolic products of connective tissues, having a low molecular weight character (lactate polypeptides, pyruvic acid, lipids with amino acid oxidation products, etc.), as well as fibrin degradation products.

The drug acts not only by preventing protein binding to bacteria, but also by breaking down the plasma membrane bilipid layer. The drug reduces the severity of systemic and local intoxication, providing a draining effect, antibacterial activity, and besides stabilizing gas exchange, the pH level and microcirculation inside the wound. Thanks to all this, the wound is cleared of the elements of tissue decomposition and functioning, and in addition there is a stimulation of the growth of granulations, improvement of regeneration, prevention of the formation of keloids and the treatment of inflammation.

Gentaxan is used to heal burns, because it reduces the size of deep lesions, reduces inflammation during their treatment, prevents tissue destruction, increases the rate of formation of the granulation surface in the case of deep lesions and produces epithelization in case of burns of a superficial nature. In addition, the drug helps to prepare the wound for autodermoplasty.

Dosing and administration

Gentaxan is a drug for local treatment, which is used throughout the course of treatment of wound surfaces, until they are completely healed.

At the initial stage (1-5th days) it is necessary to change the bandage 1-2 times a day, and later, when the inflammation subsides, the wound is cleared of masses of pus and necrotic tissues and the process of granulation begins, this procedure is performed 1 time per 2 of the day

Wound lesions should be treated using a special drip tube with a hole. The procedure is performed after surgical manipulations and rinsing of the affected area with antiseptic solutions (the skin after this must be dried so that the medicinal substance is laid evenly (with a layer of 0.5-1 mm), completely covering the wound). If the lesion is too extensive (for example, a burn), about 8-12 g of the drug can be applied at a time.

After powder treatment, drainage is performed, followed by the application of a tight dressing. In case of burns, the lesion area is treated with medicine for 5-6 days (use up to 15 days is allowed). It is necessary to fix the medicine on the wound using a disinfecting bandage.

When dressings are very important to completely remove the remaining powder from the wound site, using antiseptics or special shampoos for treating wounds. You can apply the medicine on any areas of the patient's body.

In case of injuries (if it is impossible to perform a full surgical treatment), 1-4 g of powder is powdered (the amount of the substance depends on the damage site), and then a bandage is applied on it (for a maximum of 24 hours).
