Indications Geksapnevmina

It is used for adolescents from 15 years and adults (in tablets) in the treatment of acute stages of pathologies in the upper region of the respiratory ducts, which have an infectious and inflammatory origin, and are accompanied by a runny nose (due to inflammation of the nasal mucosa).

Syrup or rectal suppositories are prescribed to children or adults for the elimination of diseases against which a strong dry cough (may be allergic) is noted.

It is also used to eliminate symptoms (in the form of a dry cough) of acute pathologies in the respiratory system, against which a febrile state develops - to infants in suppositories or syrup.

Release form

The release is made in tablets, rectal suppositories and syrup. Syrup for an adult human or adolescent - in flakonchikah capacity of 0.2 liters; for a breast baby - a capacity of 0.1 liters. Suppositories are sold on 6 pieces inside the box.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has antibacterial (against streptococci with staphylococci, as well as corynebacteria), decongestants (usually with regard to the mucosa in the upper respiratory tract), vasoconstrictive, and in addition to a weak bronchodilator effect. In addition, it has an anti-allergic effect (due to the effect of the chloro-phenamine maleate contained in it, which blocks the activity of the H1-termini of histamine).

Syrup, and in addition rectal suppositories, contain an element of folcodin, which is a derivative of morphine. This component suppresses the activity of the cough center, and besides it has antitussive properties. Also in the medicine contains (as an additional element) paracetamol, which has analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Dosing and administration

Use of tablets.

Tablets to the adult person appoint or nominate with reception of the first piece three times for a day. Adolescents from 15 years old need to take 1-well pill twice a day.

Receiving syrup.

Adults should drink 3-6 tablespoons of syrup per day (in 3 separate receptions).

For children aged 2.5-8 years, a serving of syrup is 1-2 tablespoons with twice daily intake (the daily dosage of folcodine is 0.5 mg / kg). Children aged 8-10 years should take the drug in a daily dose, which is calculated from the ratio of 0.001 mg / kg of folcodine. Adolescents 11-15 years of age should be consumed per day for 2-3 tablespoons of medication.

For babies, the serving size of the syrup is 1-3 teaspoons per day.

Scheme of the use of suppositories.

The adult is prescribed the introduction of the first suppository three times a day.

For children under 2.5 years, the dosage level is 1 suppository (for infants) with a two-fold administration per day (in the morning and then in the evening). A child of 2.5-5 years old is also required to administer 1 suppository (for a child) once per day. A child, whose age exceeds 5 years, is administered 1 suppository 2-3 times a day.

Hexapneumemia in tablets is not allowed for use in lactation or pregnancy. Syrups can be used with great care, in halved (in comparison with standard) initial portions.

Contraindications

The use of syrup or tablets may lead to an increase in the severity of existing glaucoma or hypertrophy of the prostate and other diseases in which there is a possibility of a delay in urination.
